Six-foot, seven-foot, eight-foot bunch
Six-foot, seven-foot, eight-foot bunch

Ahem, excuse my charisma, vodka with a spritzer
Swagger down pat, call my shit Patricia
Young Money militia, and I am the commissioner
You don't want start Weezy, 'cause the F is for Finisher
So misunderstood, but what's a world without enigma?
Two bitches at the same time, synchronized swimmers
Got the girl twisted 'cause she open when you twist her
Never met the bitch, but I fuck her like I missed her
Life is the bitch, and death is her sister
Sleep is the cousin, what a fuckin' family picture
You know Father Time, we all know Mother Nature
It's all in the family, but I am of no relation
No matter who's buying, I'm a celebration
Black and white diamonds, fuck segregation
Fuck that shit, my money up, you niggas just Honey Nut
Young Money running shit and you niggas just runner-ups
I don't feel I done enough, so I'ma keep on doin' this shit
Lil Tunechi or Young Tunafish

Six-foot, seven-foot, eight-foot bunch (yeah)
Six-foot, seven-foot, eight-foot bunch

I'm going back in
Okay, I lost my mind, it's somewhere out there stranded
I think you stand under me if you don't understand me
Had my heart broken by this woman named Tammy
But hoes gon' be hoes, so I couldn't blame Tammy
Just talked to moms, told her she the sweetest
I beat the beat up, call it self defense
Swear man, I be seeing through these niggas like sequins
Niggas think they He-Men, pow, pow, the end
Talking to myself because I am my own consultant
Married to the money, fuck the world, that's adultery
You full of shit, you close your mouth and let yo' ass talk
Young Money eating, all you haters do is add salt
Stop playing, bitch, I got this game on deadbolt
Mind so sharp, I fuck around and cut my head off
Real nigga all day and tomorrow
But these mu'fuckers talking crazy like they jaw broke
Glass half empty, half full, I'll spill ya
Try me and run into a wall, outfielder
You know I'ma ball 'til they turn off the field lights
The fruits of my labor, I enjoy 'em while they still ripe
Bitch, stop playing, I do it like a king do
If these niggas animals, then I'ma have a mink soon
Tell 'em bitches I say put my name on the wall
I speak the truth, but I guess that's a foreign language to y'all
And I call it like I see it, and my glasses on
But most of y'all don't get the picture 'less the flash is on
Satisfied with nothing, you don't know the half of it
Young Money, Cash Money
Uh, paper chasin', tell that paper, "Look, I'm right behind ya"
Bitch, real G's move in silence like lasagna
People say I'm borderline crazy, sorta kinda
Woman of my dreams, I don't sleep, so I can't find her
You niggas are gelatin, peanuts to an elephant
I got through that sentence like a subject and a predicate
Yeah, with a swag you would kill for
Money too strong, pockets on bodybuilder
Jumped in a wishing well, now wish me well
Tell 'em kiss my ass, call it kiss and tell

Yeah, word to my mama, I'm out of my lima bean
Don't wanna see what that drama mean, get some Dramamine
Llama scream, hotter than summer sun on a Ghana queen
Now all I want is hits, bitch, Wayne signed a fiend
I played the side for you niggas that's tryna front, and see
Son of Gunz, Son of Sam, you niggas the son of me
Pause for this dumber speech, I glow like Buddha
Disturb me, and you'll be all over the flo' like Luda
Bitch, I flow like scuba, bitch, I'm bold like Cuba
And I keep a killer ho, she gon' blow right through ya
I be mackin' 'bout my stackin' amount, I pack like a mover
Shout to ratchet for backing out on behalf of my shooter
Niggas think they high as I, I come laugh at your ruler
Cash Money cold, bitch, but our actions is cooler
Wayne, these niggas out they mind
I done told these fuck niggas so many times
That I keep them bucks steady on my mind
Tuck these, I fuck these on your mind, pause
To feed 'em, on my grind, gonna need a little luck
Keep throwing my sign in the middle
Hit 'em up, piece on my side, 'cause ain't no peace on my side, bitch
I'm a man, I visit urinals abroad
Tune told me to, I'm shooting when the funeral outside
I'm uptown, thoroughbred, a B.X. nigga, ya heard?
Gunna

    My Opinion

I personally love this song, Ive been hearing a lot of complaints about how people think lil wayne's songs are getting dumb and meaningless but I actually see a lot of meaning in all the things he says, hes pretty genius when you really think about it.

Is Six foot Seven supposed to have some sort of significant meaning or is it just an excuse to sample the banana boat song?

I like the beat of this song, don't know what the hell it means though. The fact that no one has come on here to analyze such lyrics is proof that this is a song that has no meaning. That doesn't mean that it's pointless, just meaningless. There are a lot of metaphors and one-liners here and there that make you go hmmm...I get it. But the song as a whole? Yeah, I bet NOBODY can give me a coherent statement about what this song's about besides mentioning that it's just another song about bragging about being a better "G" than the average person. Does anyone even know what the hell the title even means? If so, feel free to tell me the significance. I'd appreciate the insight.

new favorite line: "real Gs move in silence like lasagna" took me a while to get it.

    My Interpretation

“two bitches at the same time, synchronized swimmers got the girl twisted ‘cause she open when you twist her never met the bitch, but I f-ck her like I missed her life is the bitch, and death is her sister “

I did not read the lyrics as offensive toward women.

“bitches” is US rap for women First sentence is rapper boasting that he has two girl friends.

Second sentence is a pun of twisted meaning 1)To pull, break, or snap by turning and 2)To alter or distort the mental, moral, or emotional character of Second sentence means that he is able to chat-up women by being immoral.

The third sentence is self explanatory. The rapper is being derogatory about himself by explaining how shallow he is and by extention men are. He feigned love to get his way with women.

The forth sentence creates the juxtaposition by contrasting men to be shallow and boastful but women are the universe. I paraphrase:

Women are life. Death is her sister. Sleep is her cousin

The rap then continues with the rapper trying to separate himself from worldly issues by stating that he knows Father time and Mother Nature but he is no relation.

This rap to me is about escapism.

    One other thing,

The title of the rap is a political statement.

    “Six-foot, seven-foot, eight-foot bunch”

This is a quote taken form a Harry Belefonte song and refers to an Accountant (Tally man in Jamaican) counting bananas that a Jamaican small holder produced to calculate how much he would pay.

Background is that when slavery ended in the West Indies it was replaced by a capitalistic type of slavery that meant that peope were forced to work on very small strips of poor mountain land to produce cash crops for export.

They had no control over the price of what they produced.

Emancipation just replaced the slave overseer/owner with the Tally man.

The rapper is using this as a metaphor.

He is not talking about counting bananas in the song he is talks about money.

As he counts his money, he escapes into a world where he is truly free.

Anyway that is my take on it.

Listen to the chorus, it goes in this order..."6 foot 7 foot 8 foot bunch 6 6 foot 7 foot 8 foot bunch" Wait a minute, was that three 6's I saw? oh wow, what does 666 mean? oh my, could it be... IT THE FUCKING NUMBER OF THE BEAST LUCIFER YOU FUCKING IGNORAMUSES!!! Now that I've got you attention, let's procede to the rest of the song shall we? Not all of this is giving props to the devil, though many parts are speaking as him, and some and Weezy ---Excuse my charisma, vodka with a spritzer swagger down pat, call my shit Patricia,. Bascially, alcohol makes him bubbly and charismatic (btw, when Lucifers in human form, he's known to be a charismatic person) His clothing line is great, Patricia is the name of Birdman's mom

---Young Money militia, and I am the commissioner you don't want start Weezy, 'cause the F is for Finisher As us smart people know, a militia would be referenced to an army of small quantity, he's the comissioner so he decides what they do. Not sure what the next part means

---so misunderstood, but what's a World without enigma? two bitches at the same time, synchronized swimmers He's misunderstood cause CERTAIN PEOPLE think what he says is meaningless or you like his music but don't know what it means cause you only take it for face value, the music world makes music to send messages to one another and there's LOTS of hidden meaning behind all of it. Enigma is a puzzle, what's life on this world without a challenge? His music is the enigma because most of you have to think and put his pieces together to know what the bigger picture is. Two bitches clearly means two women, he's a pussy monster so he's having a 3-way, swimming is a wet reference, his dick in one wet pussy, his tongue in the other.

---got the girl twisted 'cause she open when you twist her never met the bitch, but I f-ck her like I missed her Being twisted means to be overly drunk, being open means she's DTF Down To Fuck, she's DTF when she's drunk. He never met the girl he wanted to fuck cause he was in prison, but he'll fuck her like he missed her when he gets the chance.

---life is the bitch, and death is her sister sleep is the cousin, what a f-ckin' family picture A reference to the "Life's a bitch and now I'm married to one" Life and Death go hand in hand so calling them siblings is fitting, Sleep is the Cousin of Death because when you sleep, you're dying. Put them all together and you have part of the family

---you know father time, we all know mother nature it's all in the family, but I am of no relation He's talking about our Creator God but split them into two people to create a full family reference. All the above people he mentioned are part of one family but he's not related because he follows the enemy Lucifer who was cast down from Heaven.

---no matter who's buying, I'm a celebration black and white diamonds, fuck segregation People can buy what they want, but Lil' Wayne will SELL-Abration to the people. Black people and White people will be his customers, segregation loses profit so why be prejudice!?

--Fuck that shit, my money up, you niggas just Honey Nut Young Money running shit and you n-ggas just runner-ups He's making money and everyone else is small time knock-offs, Honey nut's a knock off of Cheerios. He's running lots of things concerning the Illuminati in the Music world while everyone else falls short of attention. why do you think he's so succesful, he raps about superficial things and material things and he's the most known rapper besides Tupac (who is the one riding with the Lord and the one who started to open the eyez of the People to people like Weezy and Gaga and Jay-Z, DONT LISTEN TO THOSE THREE PEOPLE!!!)

---I don't feel I done enough, so I'ma keep on doing this shit Lil Tunechi or Young Tunafish He doesn't feel he's done doing Lucifers dirty work by decieving the Public so he's going to keep going until his usefullness is over, (In the end, all those who follow Lucicer will perish

and this part you already know, the chorus is paying homage to Lucifer

---I'm going back in okay, I lost my mind, it's somewhere out there stranded I think you stand under me if you don't understand me He lost his mind becuase he's not singing right now, Lucifer is using him to make this song as an advertisment of himself and his capabilities, (FYI, Lucifer was the most beautiful angel, he was the angel of Art and Music, this is what they Media is so corrupt, because Lucifer is in control of the Media and he's still the angel of Art and Music. The part where he was the most beautiful ties in with how the world makes people feel insecure about their looks, if they don't look beautiful, they are hated by the world, right now, the worlds being run by Lucifer, but we must remember that Gods still the one who can flip the real switch on this world, Lucifer has no power above Gods. If you don't understand what Lil' Wayne is saying in his music, then you're another ignoramus standing under his power and he's got power over you (remeber when I mention that he has power over you, remember that it's Lucifer who's controlling Lil' Wayne, Dwayne Micheal Carter himself is not an evil person, but he's giving himself to Lucifer for Pussy Money and Weed.

---had my heart broken by this woman named Tammy but hoes gon' be hoes, so I couldn't blame Tammy His girlfrind dumped his gay ass (and since he's under Satans' control he does in fact engage in homosexual activity, kissing Birdman wasn't just a phase, he does more than that with his other "G's") But he tries and save face by publically demeaning her and saying it wasn't her fault he dumped him (which it really wasn't, she dind't like him, "it's not her, it's him" cliche, but true.

---just talked to moms, told her she the sweetest I beat the beat up, call it self defense He called his mom when he got out of prison and said he loves her. His beats up the musical beats

---swear man, I be seeing through these n-ggas like sequins n-ggas think they He-Men, pow, pow, the end A reference to a clothing line. To him, his enimies act like they are He Man, he whups their ass and it's over.

---talking to myself because I am my own consultant married to the money, f-ck the world, that's adultery He talks to himself (or Lucifer) he relies on HIM to make all his decisions (Weezy is very far in the hands of the Enemy.) He only needs his money to live (Too bad as Jesus said, "It's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven) So Lil' Wayne better get Spiritual Intervention soon or he's a goner! Fucking the world is one of his many symbols in music, and also doing what Satan is doing, fucking the world, that' why this world is so fucked up! Get the hint? He used Adultery as part of his symbolism since he's married to the money and cheating on it by fucking the world.

---you full of sh-t, you close your mouth and let yo ass talk young Money eating, all you haters do is add salt he's saying that his "haters" will talk shit even with their mouths closed (where else does it come from?) In this sense, eating is a symbol for his work and adding salt shrivels or impedes on his plans

---stop playing, bitch, I got this game on deadbolt mind so sharp, I f-ck around and cut my head off He's telling people to stop tryna play games with him cause he has it on lockdown. His mind is sharp, he plays on words by saying he'll cut his head off for using such creativity (again, meaning that as long as he follows the Enemy, he'll perish)

---real n-gga all day and tomorrow but these muthaf-ckas talking crazy like they jaw broke a reference to an event that Kevin Hart was in. People are talking crazy, the jaw breaking is a reference to Kanye West when his bottom jaw got fucked up

---glass half empty, half full, I'll spill ya try me and run into a wall, outfielder No matter how you look at the situation, Lil' Wayne will destroy you if you mess with him, you'll end up in a wall

---You know I'ma ball 'til they turn off the field lights the fruits of my labor, I enjoy 'em while they still ripe this part is Lucifer directly saying that he's going to keep causing mayhem until his reign is over The money he makes, he burns it as fast as he makes it

---bitch, stop playing, I do it like a king do if these n-ggas animals, then I'ma have a mink soon I'm not sure what this one means

---tell 'em bitches I say put my name on the wall I speak the truth, but I guess that's a foreign language to y'all First part a reference to MJ I think. If you know how to interpret his music like me, what he's saying has hidden truth but it's a foreign language cause apparantly no one seems to know what he's thinking, "I think you stand under me, if you don't understand me."

---and I call it like I see it, and my glasses on but most of y'all don't get the picture 'less the flash is on The glasses mean that his eyes are being veiled over by the Enemy and he's seeing the world through HIS eyes, not his own, like Darth Vader through that mask. and again, he's saying that you guys don't undertand what he's saying unless he would down right say it for what it is, instead he's hiding the meaning through hollow words. The flash would be the Open truth, when there's no Flash to your cameera, you can't see the picture fully.

---satisfied with nothing, you don't know the half of it Young Money, Cash Money For him, nothing is enough, another material desire phrase, you don't even know half of what he's planning unless you believe in Christ and understand His Word the Bible (Which tells us of people like Lil' Wayne, not by name, but through the way Lucifer works) YMCM is just a distraction to go along with the part, "you don't know the half of it" as he only says half the line afterwards.

---paper chasing, tell that paper, "Look, I'm right behind ya" bitch, real G's move in silence like lasagna He's chasing money and made word play out of it. Real G's is talking about the Illuminati, the letter G is their universal symbol for the Freemasons, the real "G's" creep quietly so you will never know who they are publically and he uses more word play to fit the rhyme and make people think he's such a genius (he's only a genius if you people are dumb enough to love what he says and accept the FACE value)

---people say I'm borderline crazy, sorta kinda woman of my dreams, I don't sleep so I can't find her well you gotta be crazy if you are giving yourself to the Enemy like that. The perfect woman is who we dream up, but as he mentions about Sleep earlier, he doesn't sleep (part of the mind control, he doesn't need sleep) he doesn't sleep so he can't find the perfect woman

---you n-ggas are gelatin, peanuts to an elephant I got through that sentence like a subject and a predicate He's calling his enimies soft and weak like Jell-O. the Peanuts candy is made of gelatin as well. He made it through his jail sentence and made a play on words out of it, a sentence can't be made with out a subject and the supportive predicate

---yeah, with a swag you would kill for money too strong, pockets on bodybuilder His swagger is applaudable, you'd do anything to get attire like him. A play on wordz giving strength to his riches, he keeps his money in his pockets and says his pockets are on body building which is his money.

---jumped in a wishing well, now wish me well tell 'em kiss my ass, call it kiss and tell another play on words, he's saying he's the coin being thrown in, make a wish on himself, wishing well! Throwing deuces to his haters by saying kiss my ass, and then say how it was afterwards (maybe another hint to his homosexual activity)

---Word to my mama, I'm out of my lima bean don't wanna see what that drama mean, get some Dramamine Just like weezy saying he lost his mind (to the Enemy) Poor Corey Gunz did the same thing and he's not afraid to tell his mom, Lima Bean is referring to his mind. Mature people are done with drama, he don't wanna see it, he's advising to take Dramamine which is a medication, making a play on wordz

---llama scream, hotter than summer sun on a Ghana queen now all I want is hits, bitch, Wayne signed a fiend Llama is an old gun, screaming means he's firing it off, and it's hotter than Ghana (a hot country in Africa) in the summer on a Queen. All he wants now is hits from his music, Weezy signed him on and he's fiending as well, one of YMCM's newest slaves to eh Illuminati

---I played the side for you n-ggas that's tryna front, and see son of Gunz, Son of Sam, you n-ggas the son of me He's playing along with those who are fronting with him. Gunz means his father, he's the son of his father (obcious) Sam, I'm don't remember who that is, possibly Unlce Sam who's a symbol of Illuminatis American facade on those of you who still believe that America's a safe place to live. the son of himself, he's saying that everyone is under him, in a power sense, the son is always under the father, him being the father of you guys means you're under him (unless you know better)

---pause for this dumber speech, I glow like Buddha disturb me, and you'll be all over the flow like Luda He's saying to hold up and listen to this while he's shining like a false God (One of God's Commandments says, "There shall be no other Gods before me" So claiming that he's a Buddha, not only is he using blasphemy (claiming to be God when you're not) but he's telling people to follow him. Disturbing Tha Peace reference, originally made my Luda, Luda is well known for a great flow as he raps.

---bitch, I flow like scuba, bitch, I'm bald like Cuba and I keep a killer ho, she gon' blow right through ya Don't remember the first part, but the second part, he keeps a hoe by his side who'll drop you if needed.

---I be macking, 'bout my stacking, now I pack like a mover shout to ratchet for backing out on behalf of my shooter n-ggas think they high as I, I come laugh at your ruler Cash Money cold, bitch, but our actions is cooler He's cocky about making money and he's packing (a gun) making word play out of that. Ratchet is a character from the game Ratchet and Clank, known for having highly creative and destructive guns, he's saying that his gun is better than Ratchets. He's makin word play again, people think they are on his level, and he laughs at thier measurements. Cash Money was the older company that Weezy had, now it's Young Money Cash Money and it's colder than before.

---Wayne, these n-ggas out they mind I done told these f-ck n-ggas, so many times that I keep these bucks steady on my mind tuck these, I f-ck these on your mind, pause He's either telling Weezy that their own followers are mentally gone as well, or their enimies are just crazy thinking they can stop them. He's said again and again that he's got his mind on his money and his money on his mind. and he's going to fuck their brains, pause because fucking a guy is gay, you say pause if you don't say no homoo, if you say no homo to something like that, then it's not gay, but if you say pause, it means that it's gay, like I said, Lil' Wayne has done it, so Corey may be his new "outlet"

---to feed them, on my grind, did I get a little love? keep throwing my sign in the middle hit 'em up, piece on my side, 'cause ain't no peace on my side, bitch I'm a man, I visit urinals abroad Tune told me to, I'm shooting when the funeral outside I'm uptown, thoroughbred, a BX n-gga, ya heard? Gunna He will keep them going while he's making money, he's throwing gang signs, Hit 'Em Up, a song by Tupac about gunning down enimies. Mr. Gunz keeps a gun on his side cause there's no peace where he's from. Visiting urnials with pride, he don't care who looks, he'll let his family jewels out for anyone to watch (um, pause!) Weezy told him to (again, PAUSE!) he'll bring a gun fight to a funeral. Uptown, bred and raised thoroughly. BX is nickname for the Bronx, his hometown, and to finish off with his last name.

And there you have it, a song that many of you thought to be meaningless and or simple, turned out to be a message to the people on what's happening in the real world, hmm, maybe is we stopped listening to what we're taught in the schools about government, or at least search BEYOND what the schools teach, maybe you'll be smarter in the end.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
