  General Comment:I think that this is the perfect mutual end of relationship song. The lines where she is gone with the purchase of her plane ticket mean that they don't really care to have a long distance relationship. They don't trust each other anymore.

  It seems like he was un-faithful and feeling guilty about it, and he can't say it because he doesn't want to hurt her. They have such a deep relationship that she can just tell by looking him in the eye. The eyes don't lie. Love this song soo much! Although I see it as negative to a relationship being over, sometimes I do think of it as positive. Like the eyes could show all the emotions that he cant bring himself to say to her, like how much he missed her and loves her, maybe it was someone that he was in love with that he thought was too good for him and now he is trying to better himself for her, that would explain the 'sloth' and the ticket to New York.
