Gerard: Well, are you ready, Ray?
Ray: Yeah...
Gerard: How about you, Frank?
Frank: Oh, I'm there, baby
Gerard: How about you, Mikey?
Mikey: Fuckin' ready...
Gerard: Well, I think I'm alright

1, 2, 3, 4

3, 2, 1 We came to fuck
Everybody party 'til the gasman comes
Sparkle like Bowie in the morning sun
And get a parking violation on La Brea 'til it's done

Hair back, collar up, jet black, so cool!
Sing it like this kids that are mean to you, c'mon

When you wanna be a movie star (c'mon!)
Play the game and take band real far (c'mon!)
Play it right and drive a Volvo car (c'mon!)
Pick a fight at an airport bar

The kids don't care if you're alright honey
Pills don't help, but it sure is funny
Gimme, gimme some of that vampire money (c'mon!)

You look like somebody I used to know

3, 2, 1 We got the bomb
Everybody hurry till the tax man comes
Glimmer like Bolan in the morning sun
And get your finger on the trigger
Tap the barrel of the a gun

Hair back, motherfucker!
Jet black, so cool
Sing it like this kids that are mean to you (c'mon!)

When you wanna be a movie star (c'mon!)
Play the game and take band real far (c'mon!)
Play it right and drive a Volvo car (c'mon!)
Pick a fight at an airport bar

The kids don't care if you're alright honey
Pills don't help but, it sure is funny
Gimme, gimme some of that vampire money c'mon!

Motherfucker
That's right
What are you gonna say 'bout that?
1, 2, 3, 4

Well 3, 2, 1 we came to fuck
Everybody party 'til the gasman comes
Sparkle like Bowie in the morning sun
And get a parking violation on La Brea 'til it's done

Hair Back, collar up, jet black, so cool!
Sing it like this kids that are mean to you (c'mon!)

When you wanna be a movie star (c'mon!)
Play the game and take band real far (c'mon!)
Play it right and drive a Volvo car (c'mon!)
Pick a fight at an airport bar

The kids don't care if you're all right honey
Pills don't help but it sure is funny
Gimme, gimme some of that vampire money, come on!

General Comment:I think it's hilarious that they didn't want to 'sell out' to the Twilight franchise, so much so that they wrote a song about it, but were quite happy to let Glee cover Sing.

General Comment:This references the fact that they were offered to do a song on the Twilight soundtrack (glad they didn't). When I think of a story to this, I think of Party Poison and gang returning from the dead to attack the Draculites (Kind of like the action going on in Na Na Na)

    Lyric Correction:isnt there a part where they say "1 2 3 GO!!!" before "3 2 1..."?

General Comment:The whole song's about constantly being asked to do a song for the Twilight movies.

Near the end of this interview video: youtube.com/…
The band themselves explains it all :)

General Comment:I've heard conflicting opinions on whether or not this has any bearing on the story of Danger Days. Some say it is JUST about turning down the offer of having a song in the Twilight Saga and about selling out, others say -- wikipedia, in particular -- that it is "bastardised" versions of the Killjoys who have 'sold out' and done things that they don't believe in during the story of Danger Days and they have become the 'bad guys' in their own eyes by the end of it.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I don't really have the story of the album down yet as I have only had the chance to listen to it once, and I also haven't properly paid that much attention as, again, I haven't had chance.

General Comment:God I love how they just OWNED Twilight while being really polite about the whole thing.
Apologies for the long Post about the album:
I think album’s taking you to take risks, rather then staying in the lines… but being bored. The whole Killjoys storyline is a metaphor for this. Its not a concept album, ‘cause there’s no story line except in the videos – its just a “loose art experiment”. Not to be condescending, but its annoying how many people don’t get this – especially the “OMG GO BACK TO BULLETZ” people (don’t get me wrong I love that album) but it would be boring to more of the same… if you want bullets, listen to bullets. Also the “Destroy something perfect to make it beautiful” thing explains the use of synths and stuff – watch some interviews, they explain the concept way better than I could :)
Also how different all the songs on the album are – every song is someone’s favourite and least favourite, I think that’s the mark of a great album. I started off more drawn to the heavier, rougher tracks (Destroya, Vampire Money) but now Bulletproof Heart, The Only Hope…, and S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W are stuck on repeat.

General Comment:Ok just so you guys know this is the one song that has nothing to do with the rest of the album. Its about the band being asked to do a song for one of the Twilight film soundtracks and how they thought it was pathetic that good musicians were selling out to these awful films. Hence the reason they make fun of the vampires sparkling like Bowie and such. Its actually kind of a funny song, I love it. Oh, and in case you don't believe me the line "Gimmie gimmie some of that vampire money c'mon!" should do it for ya.

General Comment:Ok so I think I figured out the story. "Look Alive" introduce Dr. Death as the narrator. In "Na Na Na," we meet Party Poison, Jet-Star, The Kobra Kid and Fun Ghoul as the Good Guys and also the vague bad boy. "Bulletproof Heart" and "Sing," The Good Guys, who seem to have left their hometowns because of the evil, decides to fight and protect their hometown and the people living in it. "Planetary (GO!)" sees the Good Guys in action, fighting against the evils. In this song, Party Poison meets a woman (perhaps an old flame) in which he is enamored with. In "The Only Hope for Me Is You" there is a retaliation by The Bad Guys, which seems to be some type of bomb that destroys most of the world/city/whatever the location is, and Party Poison cannot find his beloved woman. In "Jet-Star and The Kobra Kid" we discover that the said characters have been killed in the retaliation. In "Party Poison" Party Poison and Fun Ghoul get their revenge, but somehow, find themselves as the bad guys as doing acts in which they themselves don't approve. But, in the meantime, he finds his love. In "Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back," Party Poison is basically telling his love to save herself while he and Fun Ghoul hold back to people who are after them. In "S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W" we see the female lead by herself worrying whether or not Party Poison is alive. In "Summertime" the female lead finds Party Poison as he is dying, and I believe she commits suicide to be with him eternally. I believe we are to assume Fun Ghoul died as well. "Destroya" talks about how Party Poison and crew turned into The Bad Guys along the way in their fight for the good ("I believe we're the enemy). "The Kids From Yesterday" is a sort of a song in memory of the crew, and "Goodnite, Dr. Death" is the end of the story. "Vampire Money" we meet the guys before they turn into these characters ... sort of like an intro as an outro or something? I could be completely wrong but this is how I see the comic book story.

In real life, I think this album is big FUCK YOU to society. It's definitely against societal expectations and pro-individuality.
