  General Comment:This is simple. It's about being angry after you lose a loved one. If you ever have lost someone close to you, you will understand how angry you feel about it. This is A7X lashing out. After they're heartfelt goodbye from the previous track they became extremely pissed. Basically they are saying, "God, why the fuck did you take him from us?"

  My Opinion:I believe from knowing the History of the Band that this is one of the phases that went through in grieving. It could even be interpreted as the soundtrack to a portion of part of Job's life in the Book of Job. Job is an example to us all.

  General Comment:It's about being angry at god for the Rev's death. In the beginning, the slow and sadder guitar, then it kicks off with really angry music, and ends with sad again. See the mixed emotions there? If you ever lost someone dear to you, or even been depressed, you would kind of understand the feeling of it.

  My Interpretation:The name of the band is taken from the first Gangsta/Thug Rap ever recorded, which is found in Genesis 4:24:
  "If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold."

  the pills part is obvious. jimmy died of an overdose. not illegal drugs, but prescription drugs 'cause he had recently undergone lasik eye surgery. they say that there is nothing left to trust, and no one to fake because they feel that now that jimmy is gone, they cant trust anyone else and the fake part is they dont think god will help them so there is no one to fake that he is out there. and they say if god would just leave them alone and do what they want, life ould be easier

  well, a part of the Avenged Fan in me died.
  im back to Demon hunter... they don't make so good songs as avenged, but at least they have a meaning.

  General Comment:I went to one of their concerts recently and M. Shadows said, before they played this song, he wrote it after seeing a sign that says "god hates fags" in front of a church. So all of these lyrics apply, saying " god save us, god save us all" is referring to how some religious people prey to god maybe? asking him to save all the people who are gay, or dont follow the bible. And "god hates us, god hates us all" maybe refers to how if God hates those people shouldnt he hate us all. All or at least most of the lyrics are from the perspective of someone who is judged and harassed for being gay or whatever as far as i can see.

    M. Shadows saw the viewpoints of the people of Westboro Baptist Church (godhatesfags.com/). We Christians LOATHE people who hide under a blanket calling themselves "christians" to spread their hate. They realize they will get more publicity by calling themselves Christians, b/c like it or not, people in our country like to bash the religion and point to Westboro Baptist as a representation of the belief. This is like allowing the White Supremacist Aryan Nation represent all white people. Westboro Baptist beliefs are completely isolated and account for an insanely low percentage of Christians (like 0.0000000000001%) and sadly they get publicity b/c of their craziness. They also protest funerals of soldiers, among other things (see their website). They are "out there" and have ZERO Biblical backing. It's almost as if they read the story of Sodom and Gomorrah and based their complete ideology on that. That's like reading only the parts of the constitution created prior to the year 1800. What would our country look like if out constitution solely consisted of that? Someone named Jesus Christ came along and is THE ULTIMATE AUTHORITY of Christianity. Read Christ's teachings and tell me how their viewpoint is Christian. Don't ever let that Church represent Christians...they are an aberration to any other Christ followers. I hate that the band had to go through this, but the point of our Faith is that the greatest joy you ever feel or the greatest sadness you ever feel in the flesh is infinitely microscopic compared to the joys of eternal life with God/Christ (Heaven) or the sadness of eternal life with the absence of God (Hell). I pray for the band in their sadness and loss and that they know and find the Truth that is accompanied by peace in their hearts!

    they made dear god one year before the rev died and god hates us one year after rev´s death because the were unhappy with god´s decision to doom the band to failure cuz they thought after rev death to finish a7x because it wasn´t the same thing at least in my opinion!!

    It is about being angry at God for the Rev dying... Notice the sad guitar in beginning and end, like the mix of emotion with the loud and angry music, being switched off by slower, sadder music.
