  My Opinion:take it from a soldier, this song is about what soldiers face with their brothers in arms who are closer to them than any blood relative can be this song is about the brothers we've lost and the lives we wished we could have lived together. this song is all about the deaths soldiers experience

  General Comment:Only electric guitar solo that can make someone cry. :*( RIP "The Rev", the entire band is awesome but I loved all the songs he wrote the best. Truly talented.

  General Comment:i know the song is about jimmy or whoever passe away.but it can be interpreted as something differently.like when he says will you stay away forever.if i didn't know the song was about a deceased person i would say it's about being free of a relationship.place and time always on my mind....will you stay away forever

  General Comment:don't yah just hate when someone seriously writes a song about losing a loved one, a very close friend, and everyone takes it as a love song, and dedicates it to their ex or whatever? like this song, and another example would be "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" by pink floyd. kick ass song, though. R.I.P, jimmy ♥

  My Opinion:This song is great i cant really relate to what this guys went through cause thankfully ive never lost anyone in my life but just thinking about makes my skin scrawl so its great that they made this song cause now other people know that its ok to question everything that going on ina situations like this. I love the way m.shadows sings really soft at the beginning and as the song goes on he really lets his anger show in his voice.

  General Comment:This song, which was written by Syn, has references to Jimmy's last song Fiction.
  
  Fiction:
  "Promise me you'll never feel afraid"
  So Far Away:
  "Sleep tight, I'm not afraid"
  
  Fiction:
  "So tell everybody
  The ones who walk beside me, yeah
  I hope you'll find your own way
  When I'm not with you tonight"
  So Far Away:
  "The ones that we love are here with me"
  (this little section tell me that Syn feel thats although Jimmy is dead, hes not gone and that he is still with him)
  
  Ficton:
  "All this hurt can finally fade"
  So Far Away:
  "I tried to heal your broken heart with all that I could"
  
  Fiction:
  "Found a place for me to rest my head
  ...
  Heard there's peace just on the other side"
  So Far Away:

  Anyways, I think this is Syn's goodbye to Jimmy. I think its also a conversation with Jimmy, reassuring him all the things jimmy was afraid of in his song Fiction. The song ends with "I need you to know" which tells me that this song's sole purpose is to tell jimmy how Syn is feeling and how the band is feeling.
  
  A seriously great band. this whole album actually helped me with the tragic death of friend and i will always love A7X for that reason.

    I think Syn started to write this song when his grandfather passed away so it's for both Rev and Grandpapa Gates.
    
    This album is a great therapy album, it's helped me through sometimes to. It got the sad parts (So Far Away and Fiction) but also anger (God Hates Us and Welcome to the Family)
