  My Interpretation:Even though this song is actually about having loved someone then losing them and then losing your mind , to me it is about being confused about who you are and and not knowing who you are. But at the same time your angry at someone or a lot of people and you wish yo ad not been your best with them or stood up to them or something like that. Also you are not interested or do not care about anything. And maybe you are not living life to the fullest because you are drowning in your misery. So the line "telling me I'm dead" is saying that you are not really living you are just existing. and then the line "and so I'll waste my time and burn my mind on miss nothing. i miss everything" might mean that you are like already dead because of your apathy and your wasting your time by being angry at people or yourself for your misery. Also you are wasting your time by pitying yourself and being consumed in all your doom.
  So basically to me this song is about being confused about who you are and wasting time absorbed in your sorrow and haveing a lot of apathy for everything.

  General Comment:In an interview done by the Pretty Reckless they said the song and vidio clip were:
  
  
  Ben: “Miss Nothing is a song we wrote about losing a loved one.”
  Taylor: “It’s about losing your mind and not knowing what to do with yourself if you lose all hope.
  Ben: “It’s like the crumbling of yourself.”
  Taylor: “We’re kind of at the day after Jesus’s crucifixion and I’m Mary Magdalene, or a version of Mary Magdalene and we’re all at the last supper table again. Basically a debaucherous, torturous supper after Jesus’s death.”
  Ben: “This is actually a little different to our other songs because we were kind of taking about words and finding different ways to play on the similar theme.”
  Taylor: “It was the most meticulous and thought out kind of planed song.”
  Ben: “Yeah and as much as it might sound like it’s just different takes on the word ‘Miss’. It actually, everything has a double meaning , is attached to all the other parts of the song and the song also delves into different sections, flowing into some psychedelic which we hadn’t done so far with almost a Who, classical rock, Springsteen chorus.”
  
  I had to do this for a school project, and needed reliable sources, and whoes more reliable than the actual band. x

  I didn't really get that from the song then. I agree more with the comments stated above saying that the song meaning is somewhat similiar to that of Makes Me Wanna Die. Giving your all to a person who just ends up leaving you in the end. That's probably mostly because before I saw the lyrics I thought she was saying "And as I watch you disappear into the CROWD," but in all the lyric sites i've been to it says ground. Oh well

  General Comment:i saw somewhere a interview she gave about this song. she said soemthing about (the video at least) being about jesus and the last supper and mary magdalene. in the music video theyre all sitting at a dining table and the setting does seem similar to the last supper image. im not sure though about how it fully would relate to the lyrics but she said it so..idk

  General Comment:I think this song is about a girl that gave him everything, but it was never good enough. He still broke it off. She regrets wasting her energy and the more she thinks about it, the more bitter and pissed off she gets.

  General Comment:I love this song ^.^ and Taylor Momsen...
  
  Anyway this song is about someone loosing there loved one and basically losing his/her mind I think that's why she uses the terms 'miss nothing', 'A bottle of pain', 'I'll burn my mind' and so on and so forth

  General Comment:i absolutely love this song and the band like full stop (:
  
  but, i think that it may be
  "hot minded" not "i mind it"
  but thats just what i'm hearing, i may be wrong.
  
  and possibly "I miss nothing, I miss everything"
  i'm not so sure about that one, I just keep hearing an 'i'
  but again, i may be wrong.

  General Comment:I really love the band Hole, and one of their most well known songs was called "Miss World." Since Momsen reminds me of Courtney Love, I wonder if this was kind of a tribute to her. I don't know if she's inspired by her or not, but that's just my thought.

    Taylor has admitted in interviews that she liked some of their albums, so this could quite possibly be a tribute.

  General Comment:what she means on the chorus is that she's done everything to never desapoint her loved one, but evern though is wan't enough and he left her. and that she wasted her time and her sanity worring wether she ment everything or nothing to that person.

  Miss androgyny, miss don't care
  What I've done to me" - I think she's saying that she has done so many things to herself that she's just a hopeless case now!

  On miss nothing, miss everything" - And now she's saying that she regrets all the things she's done, but still wanting to a person to know that she doesn't care about him/her! :)
