    General Comment:You know what it sounds like to me? It sounds like she got pregnant and the guy left her. "If you'd only share this hell...the stains are left on me". everyone can see that she's pregnant but he can get away with it therefore leaving her with the "stains". She wants him to come back but she knows that's only wishful thinking. hmmm who knows?

    My Interpretation:She's wishing he was there "Wish you were here" hense the title, "if you'd only share this hell... every day fades to black" having an awful time at life without him and can't sleep "sleep alone and it's so hard" and dreams he's there, wanting him back from the breakup "sick and tired of pretending you'll ever come back" and they don't talk as much as they used to... at least not like that because "it's too late to call" and she's tried "are you out there?" and tried "i'm broken, frozen out!" bad breakup when he left "stains are left on me" but for her, there's no hope "too late, too much to say".....

    General Comment:this is my most favorite song by hey monday. the meaning is obvious,the singer has a lot to say to some guy but its been so long that she thinks theres no use and shes going through a lot an she wishes that the guy feels the same way. and she used to pretend that everything was ok and that the guy would come back but then gives up on the idea. :)

    I think this song is about wanting to back with someone that you've previously been with:
    "Sleep alone, and it's so hard, darlin'. You're next to me in my head"
    Like that you're going through a tough time and you know they could help:
    "wish you were here, wish you well, if you'd only share this hell"
    but things ended badly the last time but they still want them back:
    "but you leave and the stains are left on me"

    I'm not sure, this is just what I'm going through now so maybe that's why I think that way, but oh well, it's worth a shot
