I was saving myself for you.
I was saving myself for you.
I was saving myself for you.

Tonight we'll be throwing a party.
Under the sunset we started to drink.
A little faster now.
The celebration, so many faces.
I say the words as the moon painted us blue.

I've been saving myself for you.
I've been saving myself for you.
I waited my whole life for you.
'Cause I was saving myself for you.
You better bring that beat back.

Now hold on, this is innocent blood, all the beach boys look like sharks.
Oh, because without you nothing ever mattered.
I scream and wave my arms, but you dont understand me.
Now as I watch them feed on you, it's over.
If I die, you die, too.

Because I'm saving myself for you.
I've been saving myself for you.
I waited my whole life for you.
'Cause I was saving myself for you.
I just wanted one dance with you.
And one night under the smoke alarm.

Every single door in this house is on fire!

So melodramatic, but it turns me on.
I close my eyes it feels just like a movie.
I'm convinced that we don't make sense.
But, I'd kill anyone who gets close.

I've been saving myself for you.
I've been saving myself for you.
The sharpest thing I find for you.
'Cause I was saving myself for you.
I've been saving myself for you.
I saved myself for you.
Don't you know I'd die for you.
I saved myself for you.
Without you, what's the point?

General Comment:It is Clairemont High School in San Diego. Not to be confused with Claremont High School in Calremont California. I don't know who this band is but if they went too Mission Bay High School is about two miles down the hill from Clairemnot. They got the words from the fact that Cameron Crowe was allowed to go to Clairemont HS posing as a student after he graduated from the University of San Diego HS.He did this to get material to write his book Fast Times at Ridgemont High that we all know the movie. He was also a jounalist for Rolling Stone Magazine when he was 16 and toured with The Allman Brothers Band for three weeks interviewing the entire crew. The movie Almost Famous was based on that.
Another fact you may not know is that Frank Zappa also attended Mission Bay HS

General Comment:THIS IS THE MEANING GO ON ALTERNATIVE PRESS TO FIND OUT THE TRUE MEANING BEHIND EVERY SONG

This is a very selfish song that basically says, “If I can't have you, then no one can.” I think this has gone through everyone's head at least a couple times in their life. The theme of this album talks about these natural thoughts and feelings to want and take--the desire to be in love and the desperation for someone else to love you. This song deals with human nature and our selfish tendencies. I like the music because it has a hint of Michael Jackson influence.

Mike and Vic Fuentes are listed as notable alumni of Mission Bay HS, San Diego. Sure, the internet can't always be trusted but I don't see a reason not to trust it in this case.

Also, at the part where Vic says, "Now brother bring that beat back," I'm pretty sure that Vic is simply talking to Mike. The two are brothers, Vic on vox/guitar and Mike on drums. Just pointing that out in case nobody else noticed that.

General Comment:He says something in the beginning too, like "If I can't, then what's the point?" I think it's "This hour she gets her payment". Any other ideas please say something.
