  General Comment:This song reminds me of my college boyfriend. He grew up in a beautiful mansion in Princeton, NJ. He watched his father drag his mom down the stairs by her hair, often. Several times his mom arrived home during the day to find the dad with a random ishy woman in their bed. This man physically and verbally abused his wife and kids. She finally mustered the cajones to divorce him.
  
  When you grow up in a house like that- it is all you know. If your dad was a roaring alcoholic who abused you and your mom, I completely understand why you'd feel the need to abuse others. It isn't your fault. It is part of who you are. But, you can change. There is hope.
  
  My college boyfriend completely abused me and I have a giant soft spot in my heart for him. Always.

    Sorry but I don't believe that's true. Don't ever accept that as an excuse for a person being abusive. My fiance of 5 years was abused as a child for 7 years of his childhood and he is one of the kindest, most gentle considerate people I have ever met. Just because you have gone through trauma doesn't mean you have to follow down the same path. Everybody has the chance to make their own decisions.

    it's strange how someone can make you feel like a pure disgraceful animal but yet you love them, just remember you do not deserve that. end of. you're probably beautiful anyway. my best friend at university told me how her best friend recently got attacked by her boyfriend and made to drink from a toilet bowl like an animal it's fucking sickening and sorry for ranting, but please get our whilst you can. thats all i have to say x
