You love me more than those dirty clothes
'Cause you can't imagine me as someone old
But in the moment of sinless embrace
Your eyes stare right through me to the back of my face

I sleep all day
(I sleep all day)
You're the price I paid
(You're the price I paid)

We're always good on the road
(Now you, you were my favorite show)
As long as buses were rollin' on
The destination's unknown

Talks of club connection was the way it began
Not necessary dope but it was straight obsession
Couldn't sleep it out but, oh hell, who needs sleep?
Now you're six months later, it was, well, you know

I sleep all day
(I sleep all day)
You're the price I paid
(You're the price I paid)

We're always good on the road
(Now you, you were my favorite show)
As long as buses were rollin' on
The destination's unknown

I sleep all day
(I sleep all day)
You're the price I paid
(You're the price I paid)

We're always good on the road
(Now you, you were my favorite show)
As long as buses were rollin' on
The destination's unknown

We're always good on the road
(Now you, you were my favorite show)
As long as buses were rollin' on
The destination's unknown

General Comment:I really don't care about all that mainstream crap everyone is talking about.
Bands weren't concerned about their music defining their generation, or any other musician of any genre of music. If you don't like the song find something else to listen to. They perform because they love music and want other people to enjoy it as well. Let the corporations and the radio charts take care of themselves.

General Comment:After hearing Army of Anyone and Velvet Revolver, I wasn't holding out much hope for this new STP record. But I have been absolutely blown away. Every track on this thing is A+ in its own way. The creative juices are still flowing through these guys, thank God. Keeping real rock'n'roll alive!

General Comment:simple drum beat and guitar riff... musically this is one of the weaker ones of the new album but it just makes scotts vocals stand out more which are great by the way... altogether this is a great song

General Comment:9."Peacoat" was composed by Dean, inspired by a photograph of his four-year old son standing in Central Park during winter, wearing a peacoat. Weiland and Dean got into a disagreement about whether or not the song should have been included on the album. "I couldn’t believe [Weiland] was having second thoughts about it – his singing was so strong!... [He] knocked it out of the park vocally." Weiland's lyrics, of course, changed the ultimate meaning of the song, but the title remained. Dean explained, "These titles crack me up. A lot of them were the working titles and they just stuck. Peacoat is one of them. As a title, it has nothing to do with the song at all."[29]
