Sunshine,
there ain't a thing that you can do that's gonna ruin my night
but there's just something about this dizzy dreamer and her bleeding little blue boy
licking your fingers like you're done and you've decided there is so much more than me
and baby honestly it's harder breathing next to you I shake
I brought a gun and as the preacher tried to stop me
hold my heart it's beating for you anyway
what if I can't forget you
I'll burn your name into my throat
I'll be the fire that'll catch you
what's so good about picking up the pieces
none of the colors ever light up anymore in this hole
nobody prays for the heartless
nobody gives another penny for the selfish
you're learning how to taste what you kill now
don't mind me, I'm just reaching for your necklace
talking to my mom about this little girl from Texas
what if I can't forget youi
'll burn your name into my throat
I'll be the fire that'll catch you
what's so good about picking up the pieces
none of the colors ever light up anymore in this hole
just give her back to me
you know I can't afford the medicine that feeds what I need so baby what if I can't forget you
collide invisible lips like a shadow on the wall
and just throw, oh no
you can't just throw me away
so what if I can't forget you
I'll burn your name into my throat
I'll be the fire that'll catch you
what's so good about picking up the pieces
what if I don't even want to
I'd better learn to live alone
there ain't a thing that you can do that's gonna ruin my night
but there's just something about this dizzy dreamer and her bleeding little blue boy
licking your fingers like you're done and you've decided there is so much more than me
and baby honestly it's harder breathing next to you I shake
I brought a gun and as the preacher tried to stop me
hold my heart it's beating for you anyway
what if I can't forget you
I'll burn your name into my throat
I'll be the fire that'll catch you

none of the colors ever light up anymore in this hole

nobody gives another penny for the selfish

There ain't a thing that you can do that's gonna ruin my night
(But there's just something about)
This Dizzy dreamer and her bleeding little blue boy
Licking your fingers like you're done
And you've decided there is so much more than me
(Aah ooh)
And baby honestly it's harder breathing next to you
I shake
I brought a gun and as the preacher tried to stop me
Hold my heart
It's beating for you anyway
What if I can't forget you
(Aah ooh)
I'll burn your name into my throat
I'll be the fire that'll catch you
What’s so good about picking up the pieces
(Ooo Ooo Ooo Ooo)
None of the colors ever light up anymore in this hole
(Woah oh oh)
Nobody prays for the heartless
(No)
Nobody gives another penny for the selfish
(You’re learning how to taste what you kill now)
Don’t mind me
I'm just reaching for your necklace
Talking to my mom about this little girl from Texas
What if I can't forget you
(Aah ooh)
I'll burn your name into my throat
I'll be the fire that'll catch you
What’s so good about picking up the pieces
(Ooo Ooo Ooo Ooo)
None of the colors ever light up anymore in this hole
Just give her back to me
You know I can't afford the medicine that feeds what I need
So baby what if I can't forget you
(What if I can't forget you)
Collide invisible lips like a shadow on the wall
And just throw
Oh no
You can't just throw me away
(Oh)
So what if I can't forget you
I'll burn your name into my throat
I'll be the fire that'll catch you
(Ooo Ooo Ooo Ooo)
And what’s so good about picking up the pieces
(Ooo)
What if I don't even want to
(Aah ooh)
(Aah ooh, oh)
(Aah ooh)
(Aah oh, oh)
(Aah ooh)
(Aah ooh, oh)
(What if I can't forget you)
I'll burn your name into my throat
I'll be the fire that'll catch you
And what’s so good about picking up the pieces
(Ooo Ooo Ooo Ooo)
None of the colors ever light up anymore in this hole
Just give her back to me
You know I can't afford the medicine that feeds what I need
So baby what if I can't forget you
(What if I can't forget you)
I'd better learn to live alone
(And what’s so good about picking up the pieces)
(And what’s so good about)
(And what’s so good about)
(And what’s so good about picking up the pieces)

Sunshine,
there ain't a thing that you can do that's gonna ruin my night
but there's just something about this dizzy dreamer and her bleeding little blue boy
licking your fingers like you're done and you've decided there is so much more than me
and baby honestly it's harder breathing next to you I shake
I brought a gun and as the preacher tried to stop me
hold my heart it's beating for you anyway
(Directed at a girl that he used to date, and describing how she just decided to leave him like she was done with him and he was used up. We can tell this from, 'licking your fingers like you're done'. However, he isnt over her and finds it hard to breath when she's there. From the line, 'I brought a gun and as the preacher tried to stop me' it sounds like he wants payback, and the last line suggests a sarcastic tone)
what if I can't forget you
I'll burn your name into my throat
I'll be the fire that'll catch you
what's so good about picking up the pieces
none of the colors ever light up anymore in this hole
(Doesnt want to forget her, and doesnt believe he can. He also believes that even if they can sort things out, it wont be the same)
nobody prays for the heartless
nobody gives another penny for the selfish
you're learning how to taste what you kill now
don't mind me, I'm just reaching for your necklace
talking to my mom about this little girl from Texas
(This is suggesting the characteristics of the female and 'heartless' and 'selfish'. Also, that she is like an animal who kills her pray, which are males. The line, 'don't mind me, I'm just reaching for your necklace' could either suggest he is taking everything he can from her before she leaves, or that he is buying her these expensive objects to make her happy, but she doesnt appreciate them. The last line suggests that she was a huge part of his life, that he discussed with his family, perhaps to propose)
what if I can't forget youi
'll burn your name into my throat
I'll be the fire that'll catch you
what's so good about picking up the pieces
none of the colors ever light up anymore in this hole
(Same as previous)
just give her back to me
you know I can't afford the medicine that feeds what I need so baby what if I can't forget you
collide invisible lips like a shadow on the wall
and just throw, oh no
(This verse is speaking to either God, or the new guy the female is with. 'Just give her back to me' is almost begging to that person, as he wants her back so badly. However, he knows that he doesnt have what she needs, 'you know I can't afford the medicine that feeds what I need'. The remaining lines suggest that he still wishes to kiss her, and perhaps wishes that they could kiss for one last time in secret)
you can't just throw me away
so what if I can't forget you
I'll burn your name into my throat
I'll be the fire that'll catch you
what's so good about picking up the pieces
what if I don't even want to
(This last line contradicts the whole song, as it suggests that he doesnt even want her back. However this could be because whilst writing the song he has had enough time to reflect on the situation and has realised that she isnt actually what he wants as she treats him so bad)
Thats just what I got from it, maybe I'm wrong. :') I love this songgg. <3
the relationship is dying, and he has met someone new & had a fling & now he cant forget the new girl.
(Sunshine,
there ain't a thing that you can do that's gonna ruin my night
but there's just something about this dizzy dreamer and her little bleed blue boy)
-He likes the new girl, but maybe the new girl has had many guys in her life and he feels he might just be another one of her little toys, but he's dreamin and hopin its more than that.
(licking your fingers like you're done and you've decided there is so much more than me
and baby honestly it's harder breathing next to you I shake I brought a gun and as the preacher tried to stop me, hold my heart it's beating for you anyway)
-He's talking about how the gf has cheated on him once before, and things never really got better
(none of the colors never light up in this hole anymore)
-He wanted to 'grab a gun' and end the relationship but she still had his heart at the time.
(nobody prays for the heartless / nobody gives another penny for the selfish / you're learning how to taste what you kill now / don't mind me, I'm just reaching for your necklace / talking to my mom about this little girl from Texas)
-He's saying he shouldnt have given her a second chance, if shes heatless and selfish enough to cheat.
-&Now the gf is getting a taste of what he felt like when she cheated on him, he's considering taking
back his necklace, while talking to his mom about this new girl from texas.
(just give her back to me / you know I can't afford the medicine that feeds what I need / so baby what if I can't forget you / collide invisible lips like a shadow on the wall and just throw, oh no / you can't just throw me away)
-This part confuses me.
(what's so good about picking up the pieces / what if I don't even want to / I'd better learn to live alone)
-So he's contemplating weather or not he should try to fix the relationship...
idk, FEEDBACK?!!
anyways This song makes me think about meh ex :(
at first when i didnt understand the song I hated it
but now I love love it and played it a total of 260 on my itunes :O
and thats just from 2 months of listening to it.
I get chills everytime I hear "What if I can't forget you!?!?!?"
but anyways, I heard somewhere that his exs' name was "Cara" and he blended Paraphenalia with Cara and BAM! Caraphenelia!
..That's all I know bout this...
(sarawright.tumblr.com/post/726668673/…)
"A broken-heart disease whenever someone leaves you but leaves all their things behind."
i personally interpret this to mean what's so glamorous about moving on from this relationship if he felt the way he did about her?
anyone agree/disagree??
i want feedback! :)
so beautiful.
