    General Comment:This song reminds me of a relationship (if you could call it that) long ago. He wanted to go out and party all weekend and I would shadow him, just to be near him. We'd fall asleep in the early morning hours and sleep off our hangovers all day. I'd often wake up before him and just watch him, memorizing the freckles on his back as he slept. If it was up to me I wouldn't spend all day in bed but wasting daylight with him was ok. It was the only time I could pretend we were truly together. I understand these lyrics perfectly. They aren't sweet and romantic. They are bittersweet and sad. The day is wasted but she's ok because that's the only time they get together.

    My Interpretation:Wow, I feel like I took this way differently and in a wrong way since everyone else saw this as a very romantic love story...

    I honestly thought it was a song about depression. About hiding away in your bed, not minding that you are wasting daylight. All you want to do is sleep and get away.

    I took this as the person "Cutting" themselves. As the constellation markings were scars or "drawings" of her self harm.

    I don't know.

    I feel so dark now.

    My Interpretation:This is a beautiful, romantic song. Listening to it instantly captivates me. In my opinion this is just a song about spending all day intertwined in bed, with the one you love. When the artist sings about the sirens pulsing through the window i interpret this as meaing the subjects are so content and happy in eachothers simple company, they do not care about the distraction and annoyance from the sirens. They sing about how they do not care how much time pasts (or daylight is wasted) they just care about being together. When they sing about the markings on the body i take that as meaning, moles of marks on someones naked body. I take this as them meaning they believe their partners inperfections are perfect. As they say they are like drawings or constellations. Such a beautiful love song, takes me to such a calm and romantic place.

    General Comment:This is the most adorable song I've ever heard. The imagery makes me jealous that it doesn't happen every day.
    It's obviously about spending all day in bed with someone you love, and how beautiful that is.

    Lyric Correction:When she repeats the chorus at the end (overlapping the bridge - "In the way your hand hits..."), I'm pretty sure the lyrics change slightly.
    2nd last time: "Wasted, tainted daylight"
    final time: "Wasted, hated daylight"
