There’s a handwritten note pressed in the door of her screened in porch
And I am sailing away recalling that day miles from shore
She was still wearing white and robins egg blue, her grandmother’s dress
When I left home early this year, how I won’t appear is anyone’s guess
When the new sites grow old and I start to feel cold I’ll sail home again

Goodbye Brielle
Only seasons can tell
Of the sweet dreams that we knew so well
I’ll see you around our dear ocean town
The frozen days we set ablaze
Sent me drifting away
Like a butterfly I floated by
And now I’m alone
I wish I knew when I’ll be back again
So until then I wish you well
My dear Brielle

Skipping over the sand, cobblestone paths that wind through the trees
Breathing the sweet ocean air makes a shy boy aware that he could be free
When the new sites grow old and I start to feel cold, I’ll sail home again

Goodbye Brielle
Only seasons can tell
Of the sweet dreams that we knew so well
I’ll see you around our dear ocean town
The frozen days we set ablaze
Sent me drifting away
Like a butterfly I floated by
And now I’m alone
I wish I knew when I’ll be back again
So until then I wish you well
So until then I wish you well
For the time being farewell
My dear Brielle

General Comment:I like the demo version better... IDK maybe I'm just more used to it than the new one... But both are great. I love Sky Sailing!! <3

General Comment:No, this is correct. This is the DEMO version, as seen on Sky Sailing's Myspace page before Sky Sailing was officially announced and before An Airplane Carried Me to Bed was released for pre-order. These are the correct lyrics, because the lyrics from the demo version were slightly tweaked by Adam for the album version. For example, "seasons" was changed to "whispers," and "shy boy" was changed to "bluebird."

Lyric Correction:There's a hand written note pressed in the door of her screened in porch
And I am sailing away recalling that day miles from shore
She was still wearing white and robin eggs blue, her grandmothers dress
when i left early this year, how I wound up here, is anyone's guess
When the new sites grow old, and I start to feel cold I'll sail home again

Goodbye Brielle, only whispers can tell, of the sweet dreams we knew so well
I'll see you around, our dear ocean town, the frozen days we sat in place
Send me drifting away, like a butterfly, you floated bye, and now your alone, I wish I knew when
I'll be back again. So until then, I wish you well. my dear Brielle

Strolling over the sand, and cobblestone paths that wind through the tree's
and breathe in the sweet forest air, makes the blue bird aware that she could be free
when the new sites grow old, and I start to feel cold I'll sail home again

Goodbye Brielle, only whispers can tell, of the sweet dreams we knew so well
I'll see you around, our dear ocean town, the frozen days we sat in place
send me drifting away, like a butterfly, you floated bye, and now your alone, I wish I knew when
