This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
You've had enough
Time to fill your cup
Your heart's not in it
And you're craving something deeper
But every time you try to leave
Your old life comes haunting you
It's a lost cause you figure
Toxicity just falls like leaves
There's nothing that you have to do
You see the big picture
You've had enough
Time to fill your cup
You've had enough
Time to fill your cup
You've had enough
Time to fill your cup
You've had enough
Time to fill your cup
Time to fill your cup
Your heart's not in it
And you're craving something deeper
But every time you try to leave
Your old life comes haunting you
It's a lost cause you figure
Toxicity just falls like leaves
There's nothing that you have to do
You see the big picture
You've had enough
Time to fill your cup
You've had enough
Time to fill your cup
You've had enough
Time to fill your cup
You've had enough
Time to fill your cup

I think people read too deeply into this song...
I think it is about someone who has been taken for granted, and they want to escape. The song is about how they will be missed once they are gone, and that the people who have taken them for granted will realise that they actually need them. I think that the 'someone' in this song is trying to spike jealousy in those who have taken them for granted, as they talk about the 'views', but then tease them by saying 'it sure would be prettier with you
I remember learning this song in the hospital, (I still can't do the cup Dx) and everybody singing it together. It was fun, but it became bittersweet when everybody was released and we said our goodbyes, one girl sang this before she left. She was right, we missed her tons ;_;
When I'm gone When I'm gone You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
Such a lovely song indeed.
Really awesome in Pitch Perfect with Anna Kendrick

There are many ways to interpret this song! as somebody said, it could very well be about someone going off to war, but i don't interpret it that way. The way it's worded sounds like a woman that was dumped by a guy or was divorced, and she's just trying to express that he shouldn't have done that and now she's going to leave and he's not going to get anyone better, and that he will regret it. It could be the other way around, but since it's by a woman that's how i would interpret it.
I think it's just about how people are taken for granted but when they are gone you miss the little things about them--how they walked, how they talked, how their hair was... It's a really pretty, up-beat song though.
A side note: Just recently figured out that it was "talk oh" not "taco."
I was like "Did I just hear that!??" Even though it's "talk, oh" I think its a Hidden Message and of course in a Guys perspective point of view..He would probably miss her "Taco"...lmao!... on the other hand looking at the lyrics this song can be interpreted even as a "One night stand".
@RosesAndRuffles i think you are correct in sertin ways i think it is about stress and how it is always there
This song may have different interpretations, but doesn't take long to notice the lyrics it could be a "one night stand" per the women view. The "talk, oh" just nails it... lol!
To me this song says I need to leave town.. It hurts being here & its gonna hurt leaving so I'll bring some alcohol to numb me along the way.. I know the perfect scenic route to take I've traveled it before.. it was so pretty but it would be so much prettier with you there to appreciate it with me.. I love you please lets run away and to those I leave behind that don't appreciate me now they will miss the little things about me.. If you choose to stay here in our home town I can't stay it hurts too much so if you stay your gonna miss me too.. I pour my heart out to you in this song with hopes you love me & will come along if not your also gonna miss me when I'm gone.
i love this song. took me an hour to learn the whole thing with using the cup =))
