"It seems as though Chino is talking about ¨God¨ or a higher being, a savior (Complex
Priestess) that he has been seeking and found (I've chased your name
I've sailed all through space To watch this), but he realizes that this being is not involved with us directly for some reason and if only ¨she¨ would only show herself to us (Come down Contact Reach us Go wild)and reveal her plans,strategies and the truth(Remove the veil) we would be immediately better and be cured of any spiritual afflictions and sickness of ideals and morals. But its almost as though he realizes that its not totally up to her to do everything, but that he´s the one that has to put in his part, he´s the one who´s ¨sick¨, and by being this he is also the (antidote), by choosing to follow her and be part of her (team) he can be healed. Its not that ¨God¨doesn´t want to be involved with us, but its that we aren´t involved with him. In the end of the song he decides to get involved and to go with her and have this experience (The rockets taking off tonight its time...take me...up), this ride, and rather then her showing herself to us, he is the one who is going to expose her and (I´ll light you up) light her up. Thats what it means to me."
very very very nice marcogallego.... but now think about what is said here and add in that this "priestess" is not God and that it is NOT totally up to her to "do everything" because the "she" is actually "The Sophia (Wisdom)" Wisdom/Sophia is a female energy. Wisdom/Sophia is not just 'knowledge', you must understand the difference between knowledge and Wisdom. and of course the album cover is an OWL... literally the symbol of Wisdom/The Sophia. yes, it is up to us now to see the state of this realm, and to seek out and unveil The Sophia/Wisdom so that we can truly at that point remedy this situation, be the antidote, take off and reach God/Diamond Eyes. Doing any research at all reveals that Chino immeasurable respect for Chi, and believes that he makes the world a better place. In "Royal," Chino posits that if Chi leaves the physical world and becomes a part of the god energy, he will be an impetus to turn things around on Earth. Chino again lyricizes from Chi's point of view. He pleads for a connection with the overseers/Diamond Eyes/god so that he may help to improve the human condition:

Addressing the female constituent of the Diamond Eyes, Chi reveals his fervorous craving for knowledge and understanding.

Reveal yourself so that I may better understand you and energize your efforts to guide the Earthlings. These lines speak volumes to what Chi has apparently always meant to those around him.

The veil has been removed and Chi lightly stares into the Diamond Eyes. Perhaps they lightly stare back, recognizing royalty. To again reference the immeasurable respect that everyone who knew him, seemed to have for Chi, it wouldn't be a stretch to think that Chino is literally deifying his friend in this story. His specific time and place on Earth have given Chi a unique perspective on how ugly the world can be, and also on how this ugliness may be remedied. Many would say these current times are the darkest chapters of Earth's history so far, thus his "nightmares armed with teeth" are "in fashion," and are a useful tool for solving humanity's woes. Everything is in place, we have everything we need, let's do the damn thing!
