Throw stones, breaking bones,
Then wondering why you run for cover
You fight the world from inside
Lay down, playing dead to the pages
Just another wasted day in your mind

You live to run away
But fear is the hardest act to follow
Let me let you in
Hold on another day
Face the truth it's hard to swallow
It's time to begin, there's only one life
In your skin

Wake up, take a breath,
Remember why you're even breathing
You're still alive
Give it, give it up,
You're the only one believing in all of your lies

You live to run away
But fear is the hardest act to follow
Let me let you in
Hold on another day
Face the truth it's hard to swallow
It's time to begin, there's only one life
In your skin, in your skin

You live to run away
But fear is the hardest act to follow
Let me let you in
Hold on another day
Face the truth it's hard to swallow
It's time to begin, there's only one life
In your skin, in your skin

General Comment:I agree with AznTiger, "new clown" is suggestive of overdone make-up which plastic girls do, she's the old clown, and now she's not one of the crowd anymore. "hanging on the edge of tomorrow" makes me think that she's living for the reasons, and waiting on something that's never going to happen, but she can't see another way. It's not just love, it's like her whole personality, that's what I'm feeling from it...

General Comment:I think it's kind of like the singer is describing someone he's trying to convince love to. She's kind of the plastic crowd, who hides behind clothing etc, and maybe she's been hurt before, so she's jaded, and is scared of real love.

Last verse kind of reinforces this, like she's looking for a sign to prove for certain that it's real.

    IDK, just my interpretation.

General Comment:this song is very different from all lifehouse songs, but it's still great!i don't really understand the lyric, though.it seems like it's about someone who has lots of problems in his life and wants to forget them(trying not to feel anything that's real),and,um...no one is willing to help, maybe??(aint nothing here for free),and he feels like a freak...

    ok,so i don't get it.can someone help?
