    General Comment:I think this is about a relationship where they're not telling each other enough, there's too many games and it's driving him crazy. The 'too young' he describes her as is not actually implying to her age, it's calling her immature and saying how she doesn't understand how this is upsetting him. The 'no-one thinks what I'm doing is the right way forward, You'll see it's not just a dream now' is about how his friends are telling him he might lose what he has if he confesses everything and they're telling him that it's all in his head but he's going to prove to them 'its not just a dream' and show them that something is wrong when he speaks to her. The 'you think you know, you don't know' is just him saying how much she thinks she knows what's going on but she really has no idea. The costume party bit is him having finally spoken to her and she said something honest that caused him to end it therefore this big 'costume party' that is their relationship being over, before he even gets a chance to fix it.

    General Comment:I think that what they mean by costume party is that they're trying to hide or "cover" things up, like how at a costume party, people are, well, in costume to hide what they're really like in a way. And the line "And I believe this costume party is over before it gets started" means that they're trying to embrace reality and not pretend about anything.

    General Comment:i agree with you Sunshineshine

    I also think it could be someone talking to a younger person that's worried about them, maybe a younger sibling? I love the way he sings it in this song, it's not very energetic but really reassuring and optimistic, giving the impression that he has it all figured out already.

    The best part to me, is the line "It's what you get when you try to educate a black sheep/You can't, you won't, you never will"

    General Comment:I think it's about a man who is following his dreams, this could be the band singing about the struggle of proving this is a good choice/goal for them as a career. The reference to being 'too young' is spoken by the unbeliever. The unbeliever is trying to get him to see his dreams are impossible, but the dreamer seems to think the unbeliever does not understand. "You think you know, you don't know". I think the Unbeliever is successful in his argument because I think the Costume Party is the Dreamer's goal. Which I thought was strange because I assumed it was about the band. So, maybe the costume party is referring to the goal becoming a quick reality. Just a guess.
