I venture into a dreamland where I am living on the edge
Where I am living I am living I am living right on the edge
& where I am the chameleon
& so I am the moonfaced flower child
I am the moonfaced flower child I am

So take me to the courtyard made of water
& make your point by pointing out the letters in the stars
Sister, show me Cassiopeia

I venture into a dreamland where I am playing a glass guitar
& there’s a raver by the pear tree at the far end of the courtyard
By the well
I sing the old songs to the dogs
& I’m afraid that they can see right through me

I’ll prove how much I love you with this handstand
I can breathe under the water, I can hear your muffled laughter
I can feel you coming through the walls

& when we ran
We ran through the rain
You took me up the stairwell & back down again
I was lying around with chameleons—I was hanging around with bitches
I heard that there’s a war on & I’m sure that they’re not with us
No no no no no...

I was hanging out in the tower
The tower overlooked the sea
I saw him check the girl for fever
By pushing all his fingers through her skin
He’s just reading her mind…
I venture into a dreamland where I can say this & you’ll believe

I’ve been here before…
I know your face from the last time I dreamt I was losing control
I was lying around with chameleons—I was hanging around with bitches
I heard that there’s a war on & I’m sure that they’re not with us
No no no no no...

All through the sky all
Over the ground
I was looking for you
When the rain came down

It’s on the rise

I was flying in a spiral down
I was trying to find a good way to hit the ground

All through the sky all
Over the ground
I was looking for you

You were dipping in the water
Like a beauty
Did you think about your man out in the whirlpool sea?

Above the dirty harbor water
Half a mile from the shore
A cannon fell out of the sky
Now it sits upon the dirty ocean floor

The girls, all ready in their swimsuits
They are sitting on the pier
I will swim to them like a fish
I have ridden on these waves
I will be there in no time at all...

I have ridden on these waves
I have crashed into the shore
I have rolled along the dirty ocean floor

In the dirty harbor water
Half a mile from the shore
I hear the feedback from the drum
I hear a voice say that it hates my heart

I was hanging out in the tower
The tower overlooked the sea
I saw him blowing on a horn to serenade his woman
He was pushing out the air with his machine
He’s just reading her mind...
I saw him push his fingers through her skin

I venture into a dreamland where the waves have come alive
& I watch them chase the people down the beach
But they are bound to the water
Like creatures on a leash

I have ridden on these waves
I have crashed into the shore
I have rolled along the floor
I will be there in no time at all...

&
I have ridden on these waves
I have crashed into the shore
I have rolled along the dirty ocean floor

&
I have been here before...
I know your face from the last time I dreamt I was losing control
I’ve been lying around with chameleons—I’ve been hanging around with bitches
I heard that there’s a war on & I’m sure that they’re not with us
No no no no no...

I venture into a dreamland where I have raced upon the water
Once against a girl & once against my father
The waves will angle into hills of icy mountains
& we will run our boats upon the glass

I venture into a dreamland of hidden orchards and dark black trees
The branches are shown to me for my inspection
I will chop them down, to pay off the hit-man
But we have to wait, man, till all the black animals are gone

There are two houses on the mountain
I put my hand into the fire—I don’t know who lit the fire
But I’d like to keep the small house for myself

Where I am the chameleon & so I am the moonfaced flower child
I am the moonfaced flower child I am
I venture into a dreamland, where I am living on the edge
Where I am living I am living I am living right on the edge

The courtyard & the café are black
I am wearing 3 or 4 black coats
It’s dark on the stairs but it could be darker
I am waiting for the fairies to kill the lights and chew the walls

They take too long, they take too long
On my way back down the stairs they are gone
I have waited for their song
& now they’re feral & transformed
Into animals that scatter from the sun

I am making hissing sounds with my mouth...

    My Opinion

This song is awesome, it's the only 20 minute song I can listen to over and over again without geting bored. Spencer Krug has some weird dreams... but they make a good song.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
