Stars falling down
Rollercoaster, heart pound
Fears overplayed
Two left feet; emergency
Wide open space
Catch my tail, fishing net
Fold up my frown
Take the rage
And smooth it out
Stick to my skin
Paper mache face to live in
Same view to paint,
Watercolour your name
Face your mistakes
(You will never have to feel that way again)
Oil your chains, underrate
(You will never have to feel that way again)

Yesterday's fighter plane
I held the fort, and I sold my soul
I have muted the screams I have broken the fall
I held the fort, and I sold my soul
I have muted the screams I have broken the fall
Fighter plane, fighter plane
Fighter plane, fighter plane
Fly away
Rollercoaster, heart pound
Fears overplayed
Two left feet; emergency
Wide open space
Catch my tail, fishing net
Fold up my frown
Take the rage
And smooth it out
Stick to my skin
Paper mache face to live in

"Rollercoaster, heart pound. Fears overplayed. Two left feet emergency." Here I think she is talking about anxiety, fears, feeling scared.
"Fold up my frown. Take the rage and smooth it out." She wants to get rid of this emotional intensity and feel calm again.
"Face your mistakes." Know that you are not perfect and have human fears and flaws.
"Oil your chains." Find a way out, make it better, positive.
"I held the fort, and I swung my sword I have muted the screams I have broken the falls oh I have fought, and I swung my sword I have muted the screams I have broken the falls."
She's gone through a hard time and she's survived. She's muted any negativity or doubts. She feels stronger. At least that's what I like to think. Every time I listen to this wonderful song I feel free and liberated. Also with the image of the fighter plane flying away, it denotes strength and freedom to me.
it's such a beautiful song
It's beautiful and soso delicate :)
Reminds me of Imogen Heap a lot in this song, but it's fairly self explanatory, fighting for someone
