  General Comment:
  Pretty self-explanatory. She had a summer love with this guy and now she wants him and the relationship back, even after all the time that's passed, because the feelings are still there.

    I agree, but I think that it wasn't necessarily a summer love, it just resembled that kind of relationship, hence the "July in the rain." Does that make sense? It was a summer fling (July) but not during summer (in the rain). Yea?

    at first i thought she means it in a metaphor way, like, its been raining on their relationship (back in july), but then i realized she says 'Bring me back to holding hands in the rain', so if it was actually raining, why does she mentioning july? I dont get it :\
