He was walking me home ,the last day we could spend our last moments together till he comes back which will be in 4 years. He told me this is our song no matter what because he didn't want to let go and i didn't either , he means so much to me and now all i have to remember him till those 4 years are up.Hes going to be a hero once he gets back from the marines

This set of lyrics is about the guy falling for her, he tries to keep up his wall but he loves her so much that the walls don't exist. I think also maybe they hurt each other somehow someway and I absolutely love the "Now I fall to pieces when you softly call my name" It's like he feels like he is losing her and her calling out his name feels so good it feels like home to him and the fact that he might lose that kills him.
