This song has a lot to do with them reflecting over their life.

That refers to a saying about the sun rising in the east and setting in the west.
They are bascially saying they want to put the end back where it belongs so your time can pass. Who they are referring to? not sure, possibly themselves. They're afraid of everything coming to an end as it references ''tell rock & roll i'm alone again'' Music being something that motivates and they need its company as they have been abandoned again. They feel that with fame and fortune they have lost their base and need to re-unite with music to find themselves and find their end which will inevitably give them a new beginning, as alpha and omega states.

''welcome to the new de ja vu'' They are saying that these issues may seem familiar and cliche , but we assure you they're not, nothing is as it seems. This is an issue that has the sense of familialarity to it yet it is foreign and obscene and has never happend because we in turn truthfully have no begginning or end as of yet.

''I can almost see the wizard through the curtains'' Reference to the movie The Wizard Of Oz, Dorothy goes in search for the great big mighty wizard, only to find a small human man behind a curtain. ( Again, nothing is as it seems) Also referring to someone high and mighty isn't always as high and mighty and you may think they are, whether Fall Out Boy are referring to themselves again? not sure. But they are saying that they can almost see through this facade people percieve of them.

Once again it recites the lines ''ALPHAdog and OMEGAlomaniac'' also implying that they were at the top of their game at the start and now that they are near their end they have become obsessed with fame and wealth and want to find refuge through the use of music so that they can find their end and rest, or...find their new beginning and be at peace. Though with every beginning has an end and vise versa, so they have a chance to start over.

No matter what you beliefs are in beginnings and ends, everything has an end nevertheless and not always for the best.
