Unified diversity
Functioning as one body
Every part encouraged by the other
No one independent of another
You're irreplaceable, indispensable
You're incredible
You're incredible

Beautiful bride
Body of Christ
One flesh abiding
Strong and unifying
Fighting ends in forgiveness
Unite and fight all division
Beautiful bride

Strengthen your arms now
Train your fingers for battle
Urgency's here now
Train your fingers for battle
Fighting this violence
With your feet wrapped in peace
Sad tears and silence
Now screams of joy
Victory

Beautiful bride
Body of Christ
One flesh abiding
Strong and unifying
Fighting ends in forgiveness
Unite and fight all division
Beautiful bride

Beautiful bride
Body of Christ
One flesh abiding
Strong and unifying

We're not gonna fall and forget
How far You went to pick us up
If one part's hurt the whole body's sick
If one part mourns we all mourn with Him
Rejoice, we'll sing with you
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Beautiful bride
Body of Christ
One flesh abiding
Strong and unifying
Fighting ends in forgiveness
Unite and fight all division
Beautiful bride

Beautiful bride
Body of Christ
One flesh abiding
Strong and unifying
Fighting ends in forgiveness
Unite and fight all division
Beautiful bride

My Interpretation:Beautiful Bride is about Lacey's love for Jesus and what He did that saved everybody from sin and how we should all remember that.

    "Strengthen your arms now
    Train your fingers for battle
    Urgency's here now
Train your fingers for battle." = Meaning that Jesus already knew himself that he was going to die for all of us, good or bad. But that doesn't mean that just because He died for your sins, you should go on and do evil whenever you please, you should still practice faith and train your fingers, the end may be near!

    "Fighting this violence
With your feet wrapped in peace
    Sad tears and silence
    Now screams of joy
Victory" = Jesus is on the cross and it was a very sad day of silence to remember, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be happy that He did that..when He died, It screamed "Victory! Joy!" For the Savior has saved us all.

"We're not gonna fall and forget
How far You went to pick us up
If one part's hurt the whole body's sick
If one part mourns we all mourn with Him
    Rejoice, we'll sing with you
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah." = Never forget what Jesus did to save us from sin. He paid the price for us. When He died, all of us were affected.

Memory:i just got back from my youth group, and this song never fails to amaze me with how much it ties into scripture all throughout the Bible. Romans 7 explains the "Beautiful Bride" part, which is a bride who vows her companionship to her husband on their wedding day; this is a parallel to us and Christs' relationship. we are to vow to God our faithfulness, our trust, our honesty and everything else. this bond should never break. and "body of Christ, one flesh abiding, if one parts hurt the whole bodys sick" comes from 1corinthians 12:12-26 (its scary the feeling i got when i read it and remembered the lyrics to this song. read this passage from the Bible, its a good time:). and just all around this song is amazing. flyleaf is my favorite christian band, but Beautiful Bride is probably my favorite song of any genre<3

General Comment:One of the band members wrote this song about one of there close family members who was a victim of domestic violence. This song is about how a family should operate and how they should lean on their faith. I love this song it is amazing.

General Comment:I agree with Twinstar. That's how I interpreted the song as well. I can see what some of the folks above are saying as well. But the lines that give it away for me are the chorus "fighting ends in forgiveness united fight all division" which to me sounds as if she is referring to a couple married under God/Christ and saying that they will unite to fight all obstacles, temptations, anything that could try to come between them...and that they have promised God and each other that if there is fighting--it must end in forgiveness. They are now "one flesh", strong and unifying...which is what a marriage should be.

General Comment:I get where you are all coming from, but I think maybe you are looking too deep into the song. I think calling ourselves "Brides of Christ" is a little strange, Im Catholic and in my 29 years, I have never heard that phrasing. Why cant she be singing about the unity of marriage? Every word makes sense with that in mind, even more sense than her singing about the Church. She talks about how the two are unified, and how you have to "unite" to "end all division" (work together as a couple in order to not get divorced) and she also speaks about how inevitably you will hit rough patches - "train your fingers for battle" (which by the way I think means "praying").

General Comment:I think that this song is about how Christians LEAD non-Christians to God. Every Christian is a Bride of Jesus Christ. We all love him, and he loves us. Maybe this song is depicting how someone converting to Christianity, and finally putting faith in Him.

Song Meaning:I think of this as part 2 of Teasure since Lacey esplains in an interview that Treasure is a song for herself when her husband proposed to her.

    "Beautiful bride
    Body of Christ
    One flesh abiding
    Strong and unifying
    Fighting ends in forgiveness
    Unite and fight all division
    Beautiful bride"

The chorus just says it well.

My opionion on it though. Agree or disagree.

General Comment:If you have ever read the bible this song is very clear. Body of Christ, War, beautiful bride. Spiritual war fare. I love the "With your feet wrapped in peace" That is one of the armors of God

"Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled round your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Acts 17:11

This about a battle for the Bride of Christ.

The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. 13For we were all baptized by[a] one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

14"Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. 15If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. 16And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. 17If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20As it is, there are many parts, but one body." 1 Corinthians

    Body of Christ.
    I love it
