I watched the sun again,
It's leaving now
I've spent all night long trying to figure out
What I've lost and what I've failed
When my feet won't hit the ground
Trying to make it, starting over
And will we ever love again?

Hey baby, are you alone tonight?
How can we make it?
Hey baby, looks like you were wrong
It's never too late, too late

So here we are again, to make some sense of it all
All these sudden changes, maybe things are not so different
Rearrange the pieces, like it's all we know
It's all we know, let it go

Hey baby, are you alone tonight?
How can we make it?
Hey baby, looks like you were wrong
It's never too late, too late

I can't put it together, what we've lost
The pieces keep falling one by one
'Cause this life has us holding on
Fall tomorrow then it's gone
Fall tomorrow then I call

Hey baby, it looks like you were wrong
How can we make it?

Hey baby, are you alone tonight?
How can we make it?
Hey baby, looks like you were wrong
It's never too late, too late

(Take it all, leave the place behind)
There's no one else tonight
Tonight
There's no one else tonight
Tonight

My Interpretation:I believe this song is about trust. The lines "Hey baby, are you alone tonight?" and "How can we make it?" are signs of obvious trust issues. But then the questions are answered with "There's no-one else tonight."

A relationship is like a weighting scale: They have to have an equal load to be balanced - Both ends must work together.

General Comment:I spoke to Beau Boken about the lyrics when I saw them back in October 2009. The lyrics are directed to his ex girlfriend. The voicemail in "God Wears Gucci" is to him when he was in the middle of touring and he was writing a love song to her, received that voicemail and gave her the fuck you, hence the lyrics to "Hey baby, here's that song you wanted"

General Comment: Well I personally like this song.
The guy is saying, I'm trying to figure out what to do, because you've done wrong. You cheated. I know I still have feelings for you, but I don't know what to do. "How can we Make It?"
He doesn't see anyway that they can continue the way they were.
"Hey Baby, it looks like you were wrong."
She tells him that they can get through this, but not long afterwards, he realizes he can't

listening to this song again, I guess it could also mean
The guy is trying to have a relationship with the girl, but everything around them is trying to stop them.
And so they have this spontaneous idea that they will run away
"Take it all, Leave this place behind, There's no one else tonight"
They're skipping town, there's nothing more for them than each other.

    (this is only my opinion

Song Meaning:It's obvious that this song is about Beau's ex-girlfriend, the ex-girlfriend from the recording at the end of God Wears Gucci hence the reason it's their leading into Hey Baby. Beau has said many times that it is about her, about how things just weren't working out.

I don't know where anyone got that it was about Mikes cat...

General Comment:The recording is at the begining of this song! Why dont people realize that? LOL
Its an actual recording from his ex.
It makes more sense to put it as in intro to this song, then the end of a song that has nothing to do with it.

General Comment:So the songs about his cat, then howcome at the end of God Wears Gucci the recording is said to be for the next song, which is Hey baby heres that song you wanted...
I must either be ill-informed or his cat must hate him for crushing him...
But yeah i think your right, it sounds reasonable.
