Don't let your eyes ever go shut on me.
I won't let your voice be silenced, silenced

Blood is dripping from my hands
Tell me, Is this what you wanted?
I'm the one that walked away
For me, it's all that I needed
With nowhere to turn I'll find truth

Only with you
What's left of me is yours to keep
What's left of me is yours
Only with you
What's left of me is yours to keep
What's left of me is yours

One last chance for salvation, salvation
See this empty hole inside
Don't let It keep growing deeper
I'm the one who runs away
It's true I'm lost on the outside

With nowhere to turn I'll find truth

Only with you
What's left of me is yours to keep
What's left of me is yours
Only with you
What's left of me is yours to keep
What's left of me is yours
Breathe you in and it's all over now
When my arms open
Breathe you in and it's all over now
When my arms open
Breathe you in I'll breathe you in
Breathe you in I'll breathe you in

I'm drowning,
I'm drowning,
I'm drowning.
Forgive me, forgive me, forgive me.

My Interpretation:"See this empty hole inside
Don't let it keep growing deeper
I'm the one who runs away
It's true; I'm lost on the outside
With nowhere to turn, I'll find truth
Only with you; what's left of me
    is yours to keep"

There's something missing from my life. I know I'm not alone, but I feel so alone sometimes anyway. Don't leave me when I need you the most, don't let the hole inside of me get bigger. Don't walk away. I know I'm always running away, afraid to love, afraid to be loved, but I don't know what's wrong with me and what's causing it. I need to look within myself to figure out how to be a better person. I'm opening myself up to you more than I ever have. I'm giving you the best and the worst of myself. If you don't give up on me, maybe I can make your wait worthwhile. Maybe we can figure this out together.

This is just what the song says to me. Great album. I'm really glad I bought it.

My Interpretation:"See This empty hole inside"
    I know I'm lonely
"Don't let it keep growing deeper"
I need your help and I need you to stick with me
"I'm the one who runs away"
I know I'm afraid of giving myself up emotionally, and I'm afraid to love/fall in love/beloved
"it's true, I'm lost on the outside"
I don't really know what's wrong with me, or why I'm like this
"With no where to turn I find truth"
I won't find answeres with anyone else. I need to look within myself to figure out what's going on and how I can become a better/forgiving/trusting person
"Only with you; what's left of me is yours to keep"
I know I'm fucked up, and I know I have a lot of growing to do, emotionally/physically/meantally, but if you stick around, I promise I'll try to make it worthwhile by giving myself to you to the best of my ability.

That's just what the song says to me. Although the religeous aspect is pretty neat, I never even thought of that. I guess this is one of those songs that can be interpreted in many ways.
I'm really glad I bought this album. Great lyrics, good vocals, good guitar. Good stuff. :)

My Interpretation:Am I crazy for thinking this song is about the crucifixion of Jesus?

"I won't let your voice be silenced" - Jesus promising God that he won't let His word die.

"Blood is dripping from my hands." - The nails driven into his wrists.

"One last chance for salvation" - The promise to the people, that they can still find heaven.

"See this empty hole inside" - There was a stake driven into his side as well.

"Breathe you in, and it's all over now, with my arms open" - Jesus died on a cross, with his arms- you guessed it- spread wide.

Since blessthefall are all Catholics and religious, I think this is very plausible.

My Interpretation:I feel like this song is about a guy who made a bad decision with he relationship and realizes what he's done. He didn't know what to do at first. He hurt her and himself in the process and now all he wants is her back, because he realizes she was all he really wanted in the first place, but now it's up to her.

General Comment:Oh jeez, you religious people would start saying this song is about God. It's clearly about a relationship that has ended. I'm not even sure if BTF is religious?

General Comment:i personally think the songs about him killing the girl "blood is dripping from my hands tell me is this where you want me" then he's guilty about the whole thing "See this empty hole inside

Don't let It keep growing deeper" then he drowns himself in the end anyone agree?

General Comment:i always thought this song was about someone who is asking for forgiveness to the girl he hurt and he obviously feels bad about it and hes asking her to take him back "See this empty hole inside,
don't let it keep growing deeper". hes lost without her "I'm drowning, forgive me"

General Comment:This song sounds basically like a confessional song:

"Blood is dripping from my hands, tell me is this what you wanted?"
This is where the person realizes that they've sinned pretty bad (blood of Christ), feel guitly, and asking God if this is the way things have to be

"I'm the one who walked away, for me it's all that I needed."
they're saying that they turned away from God and whatever they did made them realize that they're lost

"With nowhere to turn I'll find truth"
When you're at the end of your rope, you'll look anywhere for help. In this case, God

The chorus is basically saying that the person is giving God everything they have left

    "One last chance for salvation"
This person feels like they have one more chance to be 'real' with God and not just pretend

    "See this empty hole inside,
don't let it keep growing deeper"
They feel like something is missing in them, so they ask God to fill it

"I'm the one who runs away
it's true I'm lost on the outside"
Apparently they know about God but keep running away

"Breathe you in and it's all over now, when my arms open"
They are finally welcoming God into their life

    "I'm drowning, forgive me"
They're drowning in regret and guilt because they see what they've done and are asking for forgiveness

That's my interpretation anyway. Sounds good
