I can't believe no one has commented on this song yet!! To me it's one of the most powerful songs on the entire album. Not to mention musically genius. I think this song is about falling for someone who knows nothing about you. But you've spent so much time thinking about them that they mean the world to you. It's about wanting to be with someone so badly that all you see is them in your mind. You think about them all day, every day. And if you could only let them know how you truly felt then maybe something could happen. MAYBE they would fall for you too. But until then, you keep dreaming.

By far my favorite Mika song and my favorite song of the year.

i think that the song is about being in love with someone, you want to act so badly, to be with that someone, but at the same time you're scared that this person may hurt you, changing the way you see them.

To me, this song is about a guy who is always sort of staring at the girl (or guy), across the room but is too nervous to actually go up and ask the person out.
But after spending so much time dreaming about the girl/guy without even talking to them, the main guy is too scared that the girl/other guy won't live up to his dreams and he doesn't want it to end badly. He's built up this perfect image of the girl/guy but doesn't want to take a chance that s/he will say no so he just continue staring from afar.

I heard this song last night on Gossip Girl.
I went to school today, and saw the guy I liked twice. But I already secretly know he has feelings for someone else, I think.
Listening to this song I don't even know how to explain it, it is the story of what is going on.

This song is about what it feels like to have unacquainted love. The repetition of "that I see you" is exactly what it means. This person sees you, realizes you, knows you're there. "That I see you" but you don't see me. Then towards the progression it says "BUT I see you" meaning BUT I do see you, I always have. This person is feeling the full affect, and letting the person know how "You'll never know, you could be cruel to me, I'm dreaming of the things I'd do...I don't speak, You don't know me at all"

The person is saying how you are all that surrounds him/her. He/she notices you, dreams about you, but they won't speak because they realize YOU don't notice them. What is the point? You could be cruel to me, but I SEE YOU. You think you go unnoticed? I SEE YOU. I SEE YOU. I'm standing ACROSS FROM YOU, and I SEE YOU, yet you have the slightest realization, you DON'T REALIZE ME AT ALL.

I'm pretty sure the lyrics are "truth be told, my problem's old" not "my problem's solved."

Personally, i think this song is about when you are a teenager and you see someone you like but you are way to afraid to go up and talk of fear of rejection so all you can do is think and look at them :)

i think the album is about teenagers mosty, you know when he was an adolescent which is good because most of his market being teens they could relate
