You say your time has come
You're tire of waking up
Don't be obscene,
I can't conceive of
Living without you
You say you drag me down
No one should want you now
I start to cry,
You kiss my eyes and say
I'm not allowed to

Burning beacon in the night
Can't feel its heat or see its lights
That single solitary guide
It must get lonely there sometimes

You were a child forgot
Lessons of love untaught
Now no embrace can quite replace
The one that never found you
I was raised tenderly

All that was taught to me
I will apply,
Your parents tried
But they didn't know how to

Burning beacon in the night
Can't feel its heat or see its lights
That single solitary guide
It must get lonely there sometimes

Let me stand by you
The honor is mine
Let me stand by you
Loneliest light
Loneliest light
Loneliest light

Burning beacon in the night
Can't feel its heat or see its lights
A single solitary guide
It must get lonely there sometimes

My Interpretation:Personally I think this song is about a couple where the boyfriend is severely depressed. And obviously, he doesn't want to be alive anymore. And he doesn't feel worth anything so how could she love him and want him when all he thinks he does is bring her down. But she sees things different. To her, he is a "Burning beacon in the night" Beautiful but lonely because of his depression. The second verse speaks for itself; his childhood is a contributing factor to his depression. But despite all this, his depression and loneliness, she is still determined to stand by him, no matter what.

    General Comment:i agree with jakychap.
seems like if someone was "tired of waking up" they don't want to be alive anymore.
it's a complex thing dealing with the suicide of someone you love because no matter how hard you try to make them feel wanted (You were a child forgot lessons of love untaught. Now no embrace can quite replace
The one that never found you) if they don't love themselves then there's nothing you can do and have no choice but to let it happen. this song is amazing. i love it.

Song Meaning:This song is about her grief over the death of her love, maybe by suicide he died? "You say your time has come You're tired of waking up". Or because he left her? The beacon is her heart, her love = the flame its burning for him, and she cant feel the "heat" or see the "light" because hes not with her anymore by death or etc.
I can also see this song meaning that he did not know how to be in a relationship because he just wasn't ready or knew how to, how to treat her right and love her right. She says "You say you drag me down
No one should want you now I start to cry, you kiss my eyes and say I'm not allowed to" He is leaving her and tells her he doesnt deserve her and that shes better off. And at some points its almost like shes frustrated at the fact that he left because she wasnt ready she didnt get closure.

General Comment:I think this is about a relationship and the male has a low self esteem because of how he was raised. His parents never showed him love, so he never learned how to love another. He is used to being alone, which she thinks will get lonely. He thinks that he is bringing her down and she deserves better, but she knows that he is wrong because they love each other, he just needs to be more confident. She sees a "burning beacon", some sort of signal that makes her think, or know, that they are right for each other and once he realizes their love, they will go far together.
