...
Ecoute Tonton Klaxonne
...
Ecoute Tonton Klaxonne
...
Ce bruit poupée, tu le connais
C'est comme la fois ou
J'ai détruit la télé
Ouais comme ça BANG
Pas d'introduction, plus d'informations
Et c'est moi le roi sur terre
J'emplis des phrases et moi ça me rend fade
Je pars au Brezil , Ô modern bikini
J'emplis des phrases et moi ça me rend fade
Je pars au Brezil , Ô modern bikini

Ecoute Tonton Klaxonne x4

I walk down the stairs
I already forgot who I came with
Last summer's hit song
I start again
The same as last year
Go over my background
Make you believe that I've changed

The people around me are all about give and take
So if I don't talk, its because I have trouble selling.
Its silly but I can resume
This little noise in my body goes haaaa...
Listen to Tonton Klaxonne

If I have to disguise myself as a youthful illicit product salesman
I burn the coffin and its few flowers, I call up the hotel and reserve a suite
The money around me helps them understand
If I carry a bag with me, its to rob the bank

Its silly but I can resume
This little noise in my body goes haaaa....
Listen to Tonton Klaxonne

This noise baby, you know it
Its like the time I destroyed the TV
Yeah like that, bang
No introduction, no more information
And Im the king of the world
I write rhymes and it makes me bland
I go to Brazil, Oh modern bikini

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
