She holds a grudge
Like no other woman
I ever met before
Yeah there are some tears
Then after, it's like a million years
Well she comes around
But I can't tell
If she let herself be held
I gotta do something, sometimes
Once
In my life
I'm gonna say sorry
Before I die
When, I'm alone
Well I don't feel
I think too much
Well I don't know enough
No one's right all the time
I gotta do something, sometimes
Once
In my life
I'm gonna say sorry before I die
Baby I'm sorry
So sorry
I apologize
Babe when I hold you
Then you will know
You're my woman
Believe me it is the only way
Don't leave me, hear what I say
Yeah carry me back home
Back home
For once
In my life
I'm sorry
I apologize
Babe please don't tell me
That all you see is black
No
And when I hold you
Then you will know
You're my woman
Like no other woman
I ever met before
Yeah there are some tears
Then after, it's like a million years
Well she comes around
But I can't tell
If she let herself be held
I gotta do something, sometimes
Once
In my life
I'm gonna say sorry
Before I die
When, I'm alone
Well I don't feel
I think too much
Well I don't know enough
No one's right all the time
I gotta do something, sometimes
Once
In my life
I'm gonna say sorry before I die
Baby I'm sorry
So sorry
I apologize
Babe when I hold you
Then you will know
You're my woman
Believe me it is the only way
Don't leave me, hear what I say
Yeah carry me back home
Back home
For once
In my life
I'm sorry
I apologize
Babe please don't tell me
That all you see is black
No
And when I hold you
Then you will know
You're my woman

Mark: We had one ballad this whole time -- we didn't really write any slow tunes. Cam didn't sing a song on the last record, but he sings this one, and does a great job, too. It was nice to hear a song where the story's about someone apologising to their girlfriend and admitting they're wrong.
Cam: My girl was always like, "You never write a song about me," and then I write one called 'You Hold a Grudge'. But it ends sweetly. She's marrying me, so she must have forgiven me. She might stand me up at the altar.
