Lyrics for Be Gone as interpreted by cartoon violence

Be Gone Lyrics
it's getting hard to stand up
I think I can hear God calling my name
He'll try to make my heart break
but I was told you'd call me tonight
they're calling my name
they won't slow the car down
I'm scared that I will keep it for my own
the one that is calling my name is telling "come down"
they're calling my name
they're calling my name
calling my name

I don't think this song is instrumental. We'll see.

What's the point of this argument? Save the comments for when the cd is out. Then again you can't say the meaning of an instrumental so it might not matter... I'm contradicting myself quite a bit here. Sorry. God, they should put a button on keyboards that erases.

The song has words in the background, but they're inaudible. According to one reviewer, the guitar in the song is used again in the song immediately following this one.

Sounds like:

It's getting hard to stay up
I think I can hear God calling my name
He'll try to make my heart break
But I was told (?)
They're calling my name
They won't slow the car down
I'm scared that (?)
The one that is calling my name is telling "come down"
They're calling my name
They're calling my name
Calling my name

I thought the repeated line was something about "coming home." But this actually looks mostly correct. Kudos to you, for figuring anything out.

This song is a waste of a track. Very disappointing, really. Same with the bloody long intro and outro on Daisy, and also at the start of the song Daisy. All this unnecesary garbage that detracts from what Brand New is actually capable of.

Check out Led Zeppelin's "Hats off to you Roy (Harper)". "Be Gone" is slightly reminiscent of that song.

So I've been listening to it a ton more and here is the update of my interpretation of the lyrics:

It's getting hard to stand up
And I can hear God calling my name
He'll try to make my heart break
But I was told you're coming tonight

(inhaling) Coming home.
They won't slow the car down
I'm scared that I will keep it for my own
The one that is calling my name is telling "coming home"
They're coming home, they're coming home
Coming, they're coming home, coming home

I hear "you'll probably make my heart break"
and
"most of the [something] are scared I will keep it for my own."

I think this song is supposed to be like a prayer to God.. It's chopped up for a reason goes along with the struggles they have with God.. Anybody feel my drift?
