Cut yourself in conversation, cut the line to make me feel alive
Cause you know I'm not alive
An leave me with your complications, take your life you feel like taking mine
Leaving god we stand in line, not alone

Nowhere to go, I'm not leaving, not going
I'm not kissing you goodbye
On my own, I'm nothing, just bleeding
I'm not kissing you goodbye

Trust to take the right to leave me
Waiting on the dark clouds for the rain
Praying lightning strikes the change
As history gets lost an as I took that final breath I felt alive
Leading god to stand in line
All alone

Nowhere to go, I'm not leaving, not going
I'm not kissing you goodbye
On my own, I'm nothing, just bleeding
I'm not kissing you goodbye

Don't let me go, don't say goodbye
Cause know that I'm not alive
Don't let me go, don't say goodbye
Don't let this love die
Don't let me go, don't say goodbye
Cause know that I'm not alive
Don't let me go, don't say goodbye
Don't let this love die

Nowhere to go, I'm not leaving, not going
I'm not kissing you goodbye
On my own, I'm nothing, just bleeding
I'm not kissing you goodbye

I'm not kissing you goodbye

I'm not kissing you goodbye

General Comment:Well, this song is supposed to be built off of the Men Are All The Same song is what i believe.
Men Are All The Same is about one person in the relationship committing suicide after becoming so depressed after leaving his loved one because he believed she was better off alone, and this song is about her following him into death because she loved him so much. That's my take anyway.
you can believe whatever you want though ^^

General Comment:I personally don't know what the song means or what Bert was thinking when he wrote this.
But this song sits close to my heart.

I am currently suffering from severe mental health problems and this song reminds me of my boyfriend. He promised to help me through everything and he is. The song makes me think of what would happen if I wasn't hear anymore. I know he wouldn't cope and vice versa.

The used are a magnificant band and they have had a special place in my heart for many years, and this song is the perfect example of why.

My Interpretation:Well if the man in "Men are all the same" committed suicide, then I interpret this as the girl in that same relationship following his footsteps and committing suicide. Cause she doesn't want him to leave her behind.

Hence standing in line to meet God. Cause he's in front of her in the line?

Would also make sense as to why "Men are all the same" ends with lyrics from this song.

General Comment:Didn't read all the comments, but 'cut a line to make me feel alive',
    talking about cocaine?

I get irritated at people who think all their songs are about drugs JUST because he used to do them, or people who think every song about death or OD is about Kate. But anyway.

Cocaine reference perhaps maybe? You know cause you can't take pure coke, you have to 'cut' it with something, like baby laxatives, baking powder, etc, so you can do a line... or they call it 'stepping on it' because the person who the coke originates from cuts it (which basically dilutes the coke and makes it less concentrated), then they sell it to someone and they cut it. It goes through X amount of middle men and each cut it.

General Comment:I've been trying to figure out the lines "Meeting god we stand in line" - "Not alone" and "All Alone" and why it changes to 'all alone' the second time.. I was kind of reluctant at first to go agree that this song is about a break up rather than about suicide as it's a lot about death. HOWEVER it jsut struck me that maybe in relation to a relationship it's about growing old with someone in line to meeting god (Die).. then as the song goes on a the breakup/whatever goes on it changes to meeting god ALL alone..

So yeah, just a thought on that line.. what do others think?

General Comment:First of all I want to say this is my first time actually commenting my beliefs on a song so plz be easy on me. I believe this song is about him telling his girl friend not to commit suicide, but if she doesn’t choose soon he is going to let her do it. A few hints are in the beginning when he says. "Take your life, you feel like taking mine". This means he is saying I care about you. Then he also says "I'm nothing, just bleeding. I'm not kissing you goodbye". This is him saying I don't see a reason to live without you, but if you decide to kill yourself don’t think I’m going to stop you. Another example of this is when he says "I'm not leaving. I'm not going. I'm not kissing you goodbye”. Towards the middle of the song he says "Praying lightning strikes a change". This is obviously saying that he is hoping his friend changed his mind about suicide. Lastly in the entire last stanza he is begging her not to leave him. "Don't let this love die" is probably the best example of this.

General Comment:Actually, I've heard this song is about his drug use.
How Bert really didn't want to let go. How hard it was for him.
    Not wanting to leave it.
