  General Comment:Even though we have to deal with horrible people, we can keep ourselves away, and even though the world can be a cruel place, he wants to comfort the person he counts as 'we'. He will sing for her as long as it takes to make her feel better. And maybe he doesn't mean as much to her as he hopes, so he feels like the ghost, not the real thing for her. And even though we can be victims, we don't have to feel like it. We can let it go. And things can get bad, but you don't have to change what you like and go places you don't wanna be. And all he wants it to be able to help this person and calm her and make her feel at home. When all their friends left, he will stay and sing her the 'Cradlesong'

  Song Meaning:I agree that he is a lyrical genius. I had the pleasure of meeting him this weekend and he is a beautiful person.
  
  This song is saying that some people can be so open and share their life stories with everyone, but he and his love are more guarded about this. But he is saying that she can trust him with her heart, her secrets, her world. He wants to matter to her, and he can prove that by singing this promise to her.

  General Comment:Very beautiful song, kinda has the same feel as little wonders...Lyrically and musically, this is a great song and a good choice for a title track. I guess he's talking to his wife in this one, saying they can make their own way in life and not bother about what is happening in the world or what the trend is.

  General Comment:the phenomena that is Rob Thomas in all his lyrical awesomeness.
  
  this song ties in well with Wonderful, the previous song on the album.
  
  OMG what's with that sitar at the end! it plays for like a quarter of a second at the end, he could have done so much more with that instrument, gone for another bar maybe, or there could even have been another short verse at the end and have the sitar accompanying it. it would be awesome to see Rob do more experimenting with different styles of music and different instruments... good stuff

  General Comment:i can see why this is the title track, this song is awesome. i think it's about how everyboody is a victim these days and the way we give away our stories so we can have proof of existing. The craddlesong is that he's saving this girl from being ordinary, he doesn't want empathy from the rest of the world
