  General Comment:Although it is lyrically short this song has a lot of power behind each and every word. Not a word is wasted when constructing this song. In the first verse he is comparing his attachment to this person like his attachment to drug addiction something he at one point suffered severally from. Adam realizes that he is far from perfect but always come crawling back to this girl. Next verse is a similar theme as it is using the same rat metaphor. As well he states how it doesnt matter where she is he will always keep coming back.
  
  THe chorus reflects the verse as since he keeps crawling back it suggests that the girl keeps throwing him aside but he comes back and hoping that she takes her time with him. The next line gains greater insight into the girl character as it suggests that her irrational acts are based around depression and the fact Adam keeps coming back only makes it worse to the point where death is a viable option but even that won't satisfy them.
  
  The other part of the chorus I'm not completely sure other than that she finally did something to end it forever. Adam didnt see that coming cause every time he came back she would always take him back but now it is over for good. Maybe suicide?
