I gotta feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good, good night

A feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good, good night

A feeling, woohoo, that tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good, good night

A feeling, woohoo, that tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good, good night

Tonight's the night, let's live it up
I got my money, let's spend it up
Go out and smash it like oh my God
Jump off that sofa, let's get, get off

I know that we'll have a ball
If we get down and go out and just lose it all
I feel stressed out, I wanna let it go
Let's go way out spaced out and losing all control

Fill up my cup, Mazel Tov
Look at her dancing, just take it off
Let's paint the town, we'll shut it down
Let's burn the roof, and then we'll do it again

Let's do it, let's do it, let's do it, let's do it
And do it and do it, let's live it up
And do it and do it and do it, do it, do it
Let's do it, let's do it, let's do it

Cause I gotta feeling, woohoo,
That tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good, good night

A feeling, woohoo, that tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good, good night

Tonight's the night (Hey! )
Let's live it up (Let's live it up)
I got my money (My pay)
Let's spend it up (Let's spend it up)

Go out and smash it (Smash it)
Like oh my God (Like oh my God)
Jump off that sofa (Come on!)
Let's get, get off

Fill up my cup (Drink)
Mazel Tov (Lhyem)
Look at her dancing (Move it, move it)
Just take it off

Let's paint the town (Paint the town)
We'll shut it down (Let's shut it down)
Let's burn the roof
And then we'll do it again

Let's do it, let's do it, let's do it, let's do it
And do it and do it, let's live it up
And do it and do it and do it, do it, do it
Let's do it, let's do it, let's do it, do it, do it, do it

Here we come, here we go, we gotta rock (Rock rock rock rock rock)
Easy come, easy go, now we on top (Top top top top top)
Feel the shot, body rock, rock it, don't stop (Stop stop stop stop stop)
Round and round, up and down, around the clock (Rock rock rock rock rock)

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Friday, Saturday, Saturday to Sunday
Get, get, get, get, get with us, you know what we say, say
Party every day, p-p-p-party every day

And I'm feelin', woohoo, that tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good, good night

A feelin', woohoo, that tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good night
That tonight's gonna be a good, good night, woohoo

General Comment:I feel like slitting my wrists every time I hear this pile of autotuned crap. They play it on my muzak at work and I want to KILL AND KILL AGAIN.

I nominate it as the anthem of the Special Olympics.

General Comment:Judging from my analysis of these lyrics I believe the author is conveying some inner urge that is both dark and sinnister. This conclusion was brought on by the two segments of the song being very much at opposite poles.
As to what this act would consist of, I am unsure, but my leading theory is that the author is a form of Sexual Sadist, hiding behind what the public expect of him. Even in the positive section of the song we see traces of the negative section:

    "I can feel..
    Tonights the night "

The are even hints of agression in this "song" (or confession as it should be refered to as):

    "Just take it off"

    "Go out and smash it"

This agression can be attributed the authors intentions or past acts of sexual sadism.
Even the way in which the chorus is repeated over and over shows the author is living this past act over, and over. This is most likely an attempt to sooth the inner demon which craves the pain of the innocent. But this repetitive endulgance can only do so much in the long term, and from what we see in the lyrics its usefulness has reached its end and as a result:
    "Tonight's the night"...

General Comment:I think this song is about being a retard

The repeditive chours at the start of the song

'I gotta feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night
that tonight's gonna be a good night
that tonight's gonna be a good, good night'

is then repeat a further 3 times in order to let their
fans know exactly what the man's night is going to be like,
allowing these people to believe they will have a similer
experience to the lyricist in question. Tonight will be a
good night raises questions as to how the person has an awarness
of future events, perhaps a back story will develop?

    'Tonight's the night night
    Lets live it up
    I got my money
    Let's spend it up'

This section introduces some of the reasons why the night in question is going to be 'the night'.
The poet starts by commanding his audience to 'live it up' then goes on to explain that he has his money
and, as a generous soul, invites the addressed to 'spend it up' with him.

    'Go out and smash it
    like Oh My God
    Jump off that sofa
    Let's get get OFF!'

The next verse begins with the line 'Go out and smash it', but what is 'it'?, is he asking us to partake in an anarchist revolution? or is he employing a metaphor to break the night with wild antics? either way he is presenting violence as a part of a 'good night'. The baffling line 'like Oh My God' can only be explained by giving it a link with the next line i.e. like Oh My God, jump off the sofa. The line 'Jump off the Sofa' suggests that had he not motivated his fanbase they would be on the sofa, fan=Couch Potato, potato=vegtable, vegtable=brain dead, brain dead=retard. Then immediately after stating the fanbase are slobs/retarded he purposes to 'get it off with them', taking advantage of their disablity.

'I know that well have a ball
    if we get down
    and go out
    and just lose it all'

What is 'down'?, go 'out' where? lose all of what? The author is showing that retarded people are unable to convey coherent meanings through his character portral of vague language (the mispelled title shows this point also)

    'I feel stressed out
    I wanna let it go
Let's go way out spaced out
    and losing all control'

This verse first shows his bigest encouragement to be a retard yet, by actually want his body to lose control and be possed by some other controller, pursuming he doesn't mean he wants to be motionless. His body act of the of some other controlling mechanism could murder, rape, or commit suicide, but he willingly accepts this.

    'Fill up my cup
    Mozoltov
    Look at her dancing
    just take it off'

In this verse he suggests to the listener he is in some sort of jewish dancing establishment. He makes three commands in the part 'fill up my cup' 'look at her dancing' and 'just take it off'. Suggesting that you are his slve in some way or form, and then commanding you to remove your clothing to further humiliate you.

    'Let's paint the town
    We'll shut it down
    Let's burn the roof
and then well do it again'

These escalating acts against the town suggest some sort of ownership, or right for him to invade this town and put a halt to it's services, then burn it, like the NAZI retreating from Warsaw.

The rest of the song seems to trail off into a nursery ryhme, for CHILDREN, listing the days of the week, going through basic movement 'round and round, up and down', and constant repatition which comes to a climax at 'lets do it'. The Black Eye Peas would gladly cut you up and defecate in your wounds for money, fuck them, if you like their lyrics fuck you, just because they just seek pleasure doesn't mean they are 'positive' o and the fact that they are 'just having fun' discredits art and makes a mockery of consumers who buy half arsed lyrics, to qoute the band them selfs 'I shit on you'

General Comment:I have it on good authority that the group tries to make their music progressively more repetitive with every song. I think they're gonna have a hard time topping this one.

General Comment:If you only look at the lyrics its pretty crappy, i mean its the same thing over and over again! but i think this song was pretty popular because it reaches out to the people who feel all stressed out and just wanna go wild and have a good time despite the consequences. theres alot of people who are like that so i guess alot of people also liked it.

General Comment:Some people seem concerned about the lyrics of this song, my two year old daughter has loved this song since it was released and i love it too. The lyrics aren't rude or offensive, they are about going out and having a good time. Some people read too much into things! The chipmunks have done a version (groan, don't i know it) so it's definitely not rude!!!!
