    General Comment:"Left at first and down to third"
    Do you think he's referring to the "running the bases" system of varying sexual encounters?
    Left at first base is literal, as a baseball player would turn left for second base, and then 'down to third' would be an allegory, perhaps as 'going down' would be third 'base' sexually?
    Must I be more explicit? Am I the only one who thinks this?
    What else could it be?

    General Comment:I'm really glad I found this song so early, I've been listening to it many times and its one of my new favorite songs which is saying a lot. As for meaning, its a kid whos a little mess up and confused and is with someone special while on a trip in Carolina. A least that's what I picture.
