    My Interpretation:its about life in general. not knowing whats coming in the future. people live their lives through not knowing what there purpose is "thousands were lost maybe more/ The question reamains what is this for?"
    he's just hoping that he can get through it all "So we love and hope that it holds"

    it can go hand in hand with him suffering from depression also

    General Comment:To me, it seems to talk about war. I mean, it would make sense, and the certain emotion it sets goes with it. It's full of sorrow and lack of certainty, like whoever's point of view it suppost to be set on is wondering why it has to be like this...

    General Comment:I used to think this was about a shaky relationship but the line "thousands were lost maybe more" makes it seem like they're talking about some kind of disaster. One that causes people to feel afraid and uncertain. Still, "we love and we hope that it holds."
