Lyrics for Fuck You as interpreted by Zac76

Fuck You Lyrics
Look inside, look inside your tiny mind, then look a bit harder
Cause we're so uninspired, so sick and tired, of all the hatred you harbour
So you say it's not OK to be gay, well I think you're just evil
You're just some racist, who can't tie my laces
Your point of view is medieval

Fuck you (fuck you)
Fuck you very very much
Cause we hate what you do and we hate your whole crew
So please don't stay in touch
Fuck you (fuck you)
Fuck you very very much
Cause your words don't translate and it's getting quite late
So please don't stay in touch

Do you get, do you get a little kick out of being small-minded?
You want to be like your father, it's approval you're after
Well that's not how you find it
Do you, do you really enjoy living a life that's so hateful?
Cause there's a hole where your soul should be
You're losing control a bit
And it's really distasteful

Fuck you (fuck you)
Fuck you very very much
Cause we hate what you do and we hate your whole crew
So please don't stay in touch
Fuck you (fuck you)
Fuck you very very much
Cause your words don't translate and it's getting quite late
So please don't stay in touch

Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you
Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you
Fuck you

You say you think we need to go to war
Well you're already in one
Cause it's people like you
That need to get slew
No one wants your opinion

Fuck you (fuck you)
Fuck you very very much
Cause we hate what you do and we hate your whole crew
So please don't stay in touch
Fuck you (fuck you)
Fuck you very very much
Cause your words don't translate and it's getting quite late
So please don't stay in touch

Fuck you
Fuck you
Fuck you

Fuck you
Fuck you
Fuck you

I love this song, and the fact that she's speaking up about political issues with her celebrity. I always admire musicians who do that. XD

Does george bush influence england, where she's from or does she just hate him in general?

I suppose i live in australia and i hate him too so i guess i answered my own question.

i like the song. george bush is OUT, thank god.

but it seems like she preaching a lot against intolerance, but seems to forget that tolerance means even being tolerant of intolerant people, such as the one she's singing about

I don't think she's not 'tollerating' George W. Bush in the song, I think she's just telling him to keep his small minded opinions to himself, and basically....well to go fuck himself lol!

She's quite open about not being tollerant of intollerant people. And why should she care? They don't! I love this song, it's so good. I instantly thought of Bush. It's just great that she has the balls just come out and say it. 'Fuck You!' such a good point! Seriously, it's such a well written song, and the lyrics are really strong, then setting it up against a really happy childlike beat just makes it so that you think it's such a happy song, until you listen and realise she's saying some really quite profound things.

i'm not trying to be a jerk, but she reminds me of pretty much every other liberal in the world: they think they are right about everything and have no respect for those that disagree with them. only a liberal could come up with shit as bad as this, kind've like the stimulus package!

oh, and her line "so you say it's not OK to be gay" doesn't make sense. if shes bashing Bush for against same-sex marriage, well Obama is against it as well, but nobody will call him homophobi now will they?

But remember that it's just a song, and the line 'So you say it's not okay to be gay, well I think you're just evil. As are a few other people, such as Obama and many other people in a position of power' wouldn't quite work. This song is, after all, about George Bush, so why talk about what other people do? That's besides the point entirely...

yeah, but i doubt she views obama as being evil because he is against same-sex marriage, but she surely thinks that about Bush. Again, it's the double standard of politics

Lily Allen was interviewed on logo, and she thinks she might be gay because she's been having dreams about girls and they're pretty dirty.

The song isn't about Obama. It's about Bush. I think it's about his administration, too ("Cause we hate what you do and we hate your whole crew"), but most definitely about him. The entire song points to it. Why should she mention the new president in a song about the old one, especially in a song called "Fuck You"? No one's saying that to Obama (except maybe some conservatives). EVERYONE was saying it to Bush. Lily just put it out there. XD

I love this song. This album is the first I've heard of Lily Allen, and while all the songs are catchy and I can relate very well to several of them, this one is the one that really hooked me. I love the combination of the angry feeling of the words with her soft/smooth voice and lighthearted music.

...I don't really know why Lily Allen would write a song about Bush. But w/e.

I fucking love it. First time I heard it, I couldn't stop laughing. Epic epic stuff.

I definitely believe it's a "F**k You" to Bush resigning from his office- "please don't stay in touch" is a pretty good hint to that.

Why is it George W. Bush?

"So you say it's not OK to be gay" - Bush's stance on that is widely known

"You want to be like your father, it's approval you're after" - umm, don't feel the need to comment on that

"You say you think we need to go to war" - Afganistan, Iraq, what more do I have to say.

@ adamxfaceless : classy, dude, classy. Writing half of your post in caps, using the other half of your post to insult other people here... and choosing to overlook the major fact about this song. Like I said, classy.

lmao, im guessing your just another yank who thinks that by being british we can only have a political view on how backwards your country is. tony blair, our prime minnister, who decided we went to war, also resigned from 10 downing street, so please tell me why exactly a british musician, whos father is a famous british actor, would feel the need to talk about stuff fom overseas? could it be because your really that stupid to genuinely beleive that someone could not think about your fucking small minded arsehole country for 20 seconds!?
im getting very very tired of this, your inability to see that outside those beaches and seas, theres another world. no wonder only fucking 18% of you have passports.
fuck off and have another "double whopper with fries" you mug.

Just as long as you established the fact you're an /idiot/ adamxfaceless. Being a "yank" or english has nothing to do with anything. It's very apparent that a song with the demo title "GWB" talking about how she disagrees with someone against gay marriage, for war and trying to be like his dad would be about George W Bush.

My first thought also was why does she care if she doesn't live in the US, but even if she doesn't she's still entitled to have an opinion if she wants. Personally, if I didn't live here I wouldn't give a damn myself.

To adamxfaceless...

Do you really want to know why a smaller percentage of Americans have passports than Europeans? Because all of western Europe could fit inside the United States with room to spare. Pick a point anywhere in western Europe, and move 200 miles (322 km) in any direction from that point, and you might cross multiple national boundaries. Pick a point anywhere in the United States, and move 200 miles in any direction from that point, and maybe you'll cross a state line -- if you're lucky. Hell, 200 miles won't get you to Philadelphia from Pittsburgh, nor to Kansas City from St. Louis. Simply put, the United States is very LARGE. It's very diverse as well, whether you're speaking in geological, ecological, meteorological, cultural or political terms. We all know that Europe is diverse, but again, so is the United States, and to deny that is just as narrow-minded and backwards as you accuse Americans of being.

As for political leaders, George W. Bush turned out to be a major dud, but did Great Britain not elect Gordon Brown to be their new prime minister? From what I've gathered, he's about as incompetent as Bush was, and I admire Daniel Hannan for having the balls to verbally undress him the way he did. Great Britain is a political glass house, so please, for your sake, put the stone down. Truth is, both the United States and Great Britain are suffering from a severe lack of worthwhile political leadership. Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, George W. Bush, Barack Obama...same shit, different piles. I can assure you that anything done to improve people's quality of life in either country will be done in spite of the aforementioned fools.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to finish my Double Whopper with fries before I go to get my passport renewed so I can be the best man for my friend who's getting married in Vietnam in October. (We may even spend a few days in your former colony, Hong Kong, en route.)
