  General Comment:When he performed this song at Molson in Toronto last September, I cried my eyes out. He made us all sing it in a "Stoner Choir", the whole audience singing the song that started it all. Cudi is amazing. This song is about being different and a little weird but loving who you are and ultimately, making others love you for exactly who you are. Love.

  My Interpretation:"I never gave a fuck
  I never a fuck about what niggas thought about me
  I mean did but fuck it yummzsayin"
  Basically he's saying that he puts out an attitude like he doesn't care what you think but on the inside he really cares about what you think.
  
  "They can't comprehend
  or even come close to understanding him"
  He's saying you don't understand him and you can't because he has struggles beyond your comprehension.
  
  "I guess if I was boing they would love me more
  Guess if I was simple in the mind
  Everything would be fine"
  He goes so complex into describing how he feels and with this he's saying if he didn't that way if he didn't go through the struggles that he faces then, maybe people would like him more and everything would be fine.

  But then maybe it would be ok to say then
  I wasn't a good guy to begin with"
  He's basically saying he treats women with respect and loves them but in the end they end up hurting him even though he didn't do anything to hurt them.

  He's trying to put to words how he is feeling. He feels like things aren't real like he's living in a fantasy and thinks he's going crazy because he can't find an explanation to what is going on with himself. It sound as if he is having feelings of depersonalization and/or derealization.

  He tries to escape himself by using drugs primarily weed. And again he feels like he's going crazy.. he feels different than everyone else like possibly an alien hence his nickname for himself "man on the moon." He uses his drugs to get his spirits up also another reason for his nickname.

  Not exactly sure about this part to be honest. I'm still analyzing it.

  He tries to explain how he feels as vividly as he can but he doesn't understand what's going on with himself. But he rarely gets congratulated because he can find any simple way to put it.

  The type to get hurt
  But that's the past tense"
  He's not like everyone else he's not gonna try and get the hottest girl he can find. He wants one he loves even if she's not the prettiest or that has been used and hurt a lot but, he doesn't want them to be hurt in the future because he has respect for them.

    Thank you. This helped me get on an even deeper level of connection with him. I didn't realize how many people understood him like this. It's fantastic. He is such an unexplainably great inspiration to me and this only inspired me even more.

  Song Meaning:I Think this song is about (like most of you have said) how people didn't think we would make it big & now they love him, but I also think it has another meaning. He is talking about how he feels lonely & wants someone to love him & someone he can love "Don't want a woman just to love her assets, I still wife her up even with her flat chest, the type to get hurt but that's a past tense" that's why he says "Maybe if I was a jerk to girls instead of being nice & speaking kind words then maybe it would be ok to say then I wasn't a good guy to begin with" meaning he's a nice with girls but they always end up hurting him so what he's gonna do about it is just keep livin' it up & stay high "I be that man on the moon I'm that man on the moon & imma do what I do so do you hey hey, I be posted with my blunt & a brew my dude" He is trying to explain how he feels about his lonelyness & how he smokes to forget about it. In the song "Hyyerr" he says "better to cope when you smoke" I know this might sound kinda weird to some of you reading this but you would know what he's tallking about if you were a real Cudi fan. He also talks about how he feels in other songs like in the song "soundtrack to my life" he says "I got 99 problems & they all bitches"- "the only things that calm me down is pussy & some Cali trees & I get both never truly satisfied I am happy that's just the saddest lie" & the song "All along" "All along I guess I'm meant to be Alone" & The song "Do it alone" explains itself. The song "Ghost" "when did I become I ghost" he feels like no one is there for him. In "Dont Play this song" he says in the Start "pain, hurt, sadness & LONELYNESS bottled all that shit right up" he's talking about how he feels when he isnt high (in that song he's mostly taking about cocaine)- "I'm numbbed face while I'm thinking about suicide" the song "Pursuit Of Happiness" is kinda like this one, he says he's gonna do what he want to until he reaches happiness no matter what. One of his first songs "Day n Nite" also says "The LONELY stoner seems to free his mind at night, he's all alone throught the day n night"- "Some things will never change" -"the girl he wants don't seem to want him too it seems the feelings she had are through. That's just some things he's said in songs, try listening to them a couple of time then you'll get the real meaning of them. There's also other things he says but it would just be too long to right down :P

  i think this song also has a meaning connected to how his style as an artist is different than others.

  General Comment:This song shows how cudi relates to average ppl. Ya its about how no one thought he could do what he did. How he was different growing up, kinda a solo dude. wasnt a jock or an athlete. He was the kind nice guy in high school but didnt get the girls because he wasnt a jerk. because high school girls then like dont realize the nice guys are the good guys for the future. and look at him now... flyin high from above so high those girls that denied him cant even touch him. He didnt need a woman to just love her and always get bossed around.

  My Interpretation:There's a constant theme throughout the song, he's basically saying, "I'm not a conformist, I am who I am."
  
  I relate to this on the level of a musician/artist...
  
  "I guess if I was borin' they would love me more,

  Everything would be fine."
  
  To have a thirst to create music, and to be able to do so, is not something that all people have the ability to understand or do, thus those who are able to do such things are misunderstood and considered to be 'too much'. Because I have this extra ability to create music, my goals are different than the goals of those who don't have said abilities, so artists are considered foolish for following through with their talents (guess if I was boring, they'd love me more...).
  
  He even seems to go as far as talking about how he doesn't conform to the usual bullshit rappers rap about, i.e. objectifying women etc.

  General Comment:well the lyrics in this shit are completely off someone must not be a true cudi fan, but I agree with CGrizzy's reply. any fan of his music can find a way to relate to him in your own way. he is a musical genius. love this song and the fact that he is a rapper with musicality. something i can respect.

  General Comment:nah man. i can relate to this song because i use to be a pothead. and cudi was somewhat a pothead because in his songs he says how paranoid he is and in this song, hes explaining how his friends kept fukin with him when he was high. idk if you guys would understand but when some people smoke weed they tend to get paranoid and some people jus dont like that so they fuk with them.
