Whadda You know?
The birds and the bees got wise to the lies.
So they took to the trees and took to the skies.
On top of the chain, but safe from the rain.
Whatcha know about the ways on the underside?

Whadda You know?
Bought a hot shot gat from a north end Guinea
Cuz we’re hip to the bull and hip to the lies.
Anti up with yer ass cuz you aint got a penny
Whatcha know about the ways on the underside?

Whadda You know?
Bought a hot shot gat from a north end Guinea.
Anti up with yer ass cuz you aint got a penny
Droppin Bombs from above, cut y’all down to size.
Cuz we’re hip to the bull and we’re hip to the lies.

The streets rose in 2 perfect waves in the night.
Crashes on my left and one on my right
It’s all fire n brimstone, baby. So let’s go outside.
It’s all fire n brimstone, baby. Got my brand new pistol, Baby

Whadda You know?
Bought a hot shot gat from a north end Guinea.
Anti up with yer ass cuz you aint got a penny
Droppin Bombs from above, cut y’all down to size.
Cuz we’re hip to the bull and we’re hip to the lies.

Our turn to decide who lives n who dies.
Now wise to the lies, it’s time to get up.
But Whadda You Know?

General Comment:Birds and bees=females males top of the food chain safe from the rain b/c they spray shit into our air to kill farmers crops who use their own seeds.People who run the streets are a kind of mini government with their own laws and ethics they just use the underside to gain power its sayin get your asses out there and battle because all you have is you ass to ante up with. I agree that it is a protest song against the powers that be. a guinea is a racial slur against Italian-Americans.

General Comment:I'm almost absolutely sure its "ante up with you eye" not ass. Its referring to poker, when the time comes to raise the bid and you've already put in all your chips or cash. you "ante up with you eyes" to raise the bid, as you don't have any more chips to put in. It speaks of continuing to gamble and take risk even though you're putting more than everything on the line. You keep playing the game because you can't stop. The idea of wild recklessness it carries with it fits perfectly into the rest of the song

Lyric Correction:Why is it that every website has these lyrics wrong? The actual lyrics are right on the official website, for crying out loud...

My Interpretation:I think the message is from a person influenced by gang-like elements asking a poser who maybe well off. "What do you know?" meaning what do you know about a seedy life where you're so broke and can't afford to buy your own safety that you have to trade sexual favors with dangerous individuals in order to just get by. The birds and bees reference is about the flourish given to those seedy acts and the acknowledgment that even they can see through the "bull and lies" of the lifestyle to get by.The part:"Yeah, the streets rose in two perfect waves in the night,Crashes on my left, and one on my right" is a biblical reference as well as the reference of the chain keeping the person out of the rain. the former is a reference to Moses crossing the River Nile, this person posing the question was able to pass through the chaos of the life they lived while sheer chaos and destruction of the life style devours all things around them. The questioner was afraid even with those they trusted.Noting it's all fire and brimstone things are crazy I have a gun for protection of us as well as protection of myself verses you in case during the craziness the questioner is turned on. The later reference of the chain is religious as well. Something to clime to get to heaven or at least in this case to rise above the influence to a safe dry place. The questioner is an upright citizen through living a hard life to get to a better place rather than the person he's posing the question to who may be of a more pampered place perceiving that their life is so degraded and hard to appear cool.
My best guess. I used to live with a homeless guy and until you've actually had to live in those conditions you really don't understand and it's difficult to empathize

    My Interpretation:This song describes Corruption/conspiracy
"on top of the chain and safe from the rain"
People on the top of the food chain...corrupted leaders..etc...

"Droppin bombs from above cut ya all down to size."
As citizens, they are helpless to anything the government does, all it takes is bombs to kill a bunch of people because...
"...Cuz they're hip to the bull and they're hip to the lies."
This "Bull" is the bull that stands outside of the stock market in NY. In other words, they drop bombs and cut the citizen's numbers short because they want more money for themselves..."they're hip to the lies." Obviously they won't want anyone finding out about this, so they lie...using the media.

In those few last lines, I feel that it's blatantly-
"Now I SEE the lies it's time to get up."

not "Now ANSWER the lies it's time to get up"

Especially when she(Milla) sings it, blatant

General Comment:In those last lines, I feel it's blatantly
"Now I SEE the lies it's time to get up."

not "Now ANSWER the lies it's time to get up"

    Could be wrong.

Though the song closely resembles political ideology, it's obviously less specific than some are guessing.
And it's bad practice for people to just pick some lines that support your point of view, and then just leave out other lines that make your view no longer make any sense...

To me it's just saying, if you don't like things are being run by those in power, get up and go change them, because that's what they did. Simple inciting revolution, with a little maynard - milla love thrown in.

General Comment:When I first heard this song, I heard "ante up with your eyes cuz' you ain't got a penny". I guess the "ass" way makes sense, but I thought he was referring to the practice of putting pennies on a persons eyes when they died to pay the ferryman to cross the river. If one didn't have the money, they would have to pay with their eyes.
