What a beautiful song. I have a 5-year-old daughter who is the most adorable and precious thing in the world to me. And every time I hear this song, I think of her and start to cry out loud. Because I know that she won't be this way for long. Darius, what you say is so, so true.

I think this song doesn't necessarily mean that someone is growing up. My interpretation of the song is that people change and things won't stay the same forever, even if you like how it is or you don't. And everyone goes through hard times in life, so this song is a way of saying it won't be for long, just hold on and things will and have to get better. But of course, it obviously does also mean that someone is growing up and it's sad because you wish it wouldn't change. At least this is what I think, I've never done this before though. (:

I absolutely adore this song! My niece is about to be 1 years old next month and I remember the day she was born like it happened yesterday. This song REMINDS me to appreciate my niece and not to get all huffy and puffy when she starts crying becuase after all she IS just a baby. So I love this song!
