  General Comment:I don't think this has a biblical reference. It's about a relationship that has ended. Both parties knew it was coming one of these days because the relationship wasn't good, wasn't on solid group. Someone wasn't willing to change her mind, because she was too stubborn to make things work.
  
  When he says, "We don't live here anymore" it's a metaphor for the relationship being over. They don't reside within the relationship any longer.
  
  I love this song.

  General Comment:I am pretty sure this song is about the Rapture.
  "It was a matter of time til this ground gave", which is the imagery of the world being done away with. "It was a matter of time" meaning it was inevitable because it is God's plan.
  That person at the door... well, He'd be Jesus, ahah.
  "Maybe it's all the right dreams at the wrong time" Well every Christian is excited for Christ coming back but they had dreams of what they wanted to do on earth that could not be finished due to His return.
  "Maybe it's better to start a whole new life" EVERLASTING LIFE... pretty sweet, huh?
