Lyrics for Have Faith In Me as interpreted by eltroyo11

Have Faith In Me Lyrics
Have faith in me
Cause there are things that I've seen
I don't believe
So cling to what you know
And never let go
You should know things aren't always what they seem

I said I'd never let you go
And I never did
I said I'd never let you fall
Then I'd always make sense
If you didn't have a chance
Then I never did
You'll always find me right there again

I've gone crazy
Cause there are things in the streets
I don't believe
So we'll pretend it's alright
And stay in for the night
What a world
I'll keep you safe here with me
With me

I said I'd never let you go
And I never did
I said I'd never let you fall
Then I'd always make sense
If you didn't have a chance
Then I never did
You'll always find me right there again

I said I'd never let you go
And I never did
I said I'd never let you fall
Then I'd always make sense
If you didn't have a chance
Then I never did
You'll always find me right there again

They've got me on the outside looking in
But I can't see at all
With the weight of the world on my shoulders
They just want to see me fall
They've got me on the outside looking in
But I can't see at all
With the weight of the world on my shoulders
They just want to see me fall
Have faith in me

I said I'd never let you go
And I never did
I said I'd never let you fall
Then I'd always make sense
If you didn't have a chance
Then I never did
You'll always find me right there again

I said I'd never let you go
And I never did
I said I'd never let you fall
Then I'd always make sense
If you didn't have a chance
Then I never did
You'll always find me right there again

I said I'd never let you go
And I never did
I said I'd never let you go
And I never did
I said I'd never let you go
And I never did
I said I'd never let you go
And I never did

The real lyrics are "I said I'd never let you fall, and I always meant it"

The line "Have faith in me" is used a couple times in the song "Another Song For The Weekend," too.
It might just be a coincidence, though.

I think it's "I said I'd never let you fall and I always meant it".

"I said I'd never let you fall
Then I'd always make sense"

That just doesn't make very much sense at all haha

I agree with ASPbreakdown, "I said I'd never let you fall and I always meant it."

I think the chorus sums up the meaning of this song. I love it.

Actually, I think "I said I'd never let you fall, Then I'd always make sense" sounds completely fine. He has told the girl before that he'd never let her fall. And in the end he always makes sense because he'd be there to catch her every time. Not saying it's right but, just a thought

If you listen closely, it sounds like "And I always meant it."
He just draws out the "it" a little.

Yeah, I see it as a guy who really cares about this girl and he promises he'll always be there for her. And shes going through really hard times in her life so he's reminding her and telling her that he is right there beside her every step of the way to help in anyway and every way possible and that she won't ever be alone because he'll always be there for her.

Simple, sweet song.

I think it's about a boy, and a girl, and the girl has heard the boy cheated on her, but he's saying things aren't always what they seem, have faith in me.

Love it

God, i love this song.
Its the equivilant of you had me at hello from and their name was treason
ADTR doesnt write many love songs, but when they do, their awesome
this really relates to my life right now
i think its about a girl that has someone else she loves but then there is a guy that always loves her and promises he will never let her fall, and will always love her more than anyone else

I know this awesome band is not a christian band however this song to me in a love song based around the rapture
I'm not trying to preach believe me, i flip out when they play a church commercial at the movie theater in my college town before movies, because its preaching to an unwilling audience. And i completely believe everyone has the right to believe anything and everything they want

besides my point.

1. I've seen things in the streets i don't believe- the raising of the dead in the apocalypse
2. cling to what you know- you're religion and beliefs
3. never let you fall and i always meant it- he'd do what he could to make sure she never went to hell and she would be his only thread of happiness in eternal damnation
4. they've got me on the outside looking in; weight of the world on his shoulders- as if he was in hell

its obvious that he loves this girl more than anything else in the entire world he just doesn't know if his sins will let her be with him

now that i got that out of my system

This band is sick!
i can't get this CD out of my head

Well as far as that line goes, I always thought he was saying "I said I'd never let you fall, and I always maintained." But "and I always meant it" sounds fine, as well.

This song, to me, is about a relationship that's falling apart, or has fell apart and he still loves her. It sounds like other people broke them apart: "they've got me on the outside looking in" (as in outside the relationship). He is basically just trying to get her to see that he's always been there for her and that he always will be. He's telling her that even though he makes mistakes, or stumbles, he'll always love her and always catch her when she falls ("with the weight of the world on my shoulders, they just want to see me fall"; I'm inferring that he slipped up, or else why would he write the song?). Basically, over all, I think that people caused a rift between them, because of rumours or something, and he slipped up, but he will always love her, and he just wishes that she'd believe him over them, because "they" are obviously fickle and liars, and he's always been there for her, unlike them.

Amazing song =]
I can relate. A lot.

To me, this song is about holding on to a relationship even when things get tough. Like it's saying, "Have faith in me, I'm not giving up on this." Reminds me of my boyfriend who moved...
