Sweet disposition
Never too soon
Oh, reckless abandon
Like no one's watching you
A moment a love
A dream aloud
A kiss a cry
Our rights
Our wrongs
A moment, a love
A dream aloud
A moment, a love
A dream, aloud

So stay there
'Cause I'll be coming over
And while our blood's still young
It's so young, it runs
And won't stop til it's over
Won't stop to surrender

Songs of desperation
I played them for you
A moment, a love
A dream aloud
A kiss, a cry
Our rights
Our wrongs
A moment, a love
A dream aloud
A moment, a love
A dream aloud

Stay there
'Cause I'll be coming over
And while our blood's still young
It's so young, it runs
And won't stop til it's over
Won't stop to surrender

And won't stop til it's over
Won't stop til it's over
Won't stop til it's over
Won't stop to surrender

General Comment:So this is my view on the song, don't bitch if you disagree.

Its about people in their youth - obviously - and about all the things they go through, the fun, the first experiences, the first love and relationship. I reckon that its about a couple who are in love, even though they are young and reckless, and are trying to stay together and live through their youth together without... breaking up? That's where you get the whole "So stay there, cause I'll be coming over"

But that being said, they are living up their teenage years at the same time. So there will be moments of "our rights, our wrongs". Dunno... I've kinda lost what I was getting at.

Still, in the end this is what I pick up; Youth, first love, and living through their youth together, through all their rights and wrongs.

Lyric Correction:I have the CD "Conditions" and in the lyric book, it actually says "A moment, a love, a dream, ALOUD...", NOT "A laugh" so stop trying to say this is incorrect...

Lyric Correction:I really don't understand why it's so damn hard to fix lyrics on this site. Either actually PAY ATTENTION to what people are writing in the comments or change it back to where they could be openly edited.

Virtually EVERY other lyric site has the correct line "A dream, a laugh" except of course this one. The current entry doesn't even make sense if the author took one second to actually examine the freakin' structure of the section - notice how every other line is stagnated? With a comma, or on other sites, a line skip? Yeah, exactly.

    General Comment:You people are ridiculous.
This website is called 'songmeanings' not, 'my opinion on songs' or 'i like this song'.
If you dont have anything intelligent to say about the actual "MEANING" of the song then keep your comments for your facebook page which is no doubt filled up with crap. Also I dont give a crap what movie it is off or if you have seen the movie yet or if you want to see it.

    Get a life.

Now this song to me is about trying to stay in the moment when two people first fell in love when they were young... about how forever they will be trying to recapture that moment. But also about staying in it for the long haul - "Dont stop till its over"
Also about how life goes by in a flash - "a moment".

General Comment:I absolutely love this song.

I think it's about a young relationship that builds slowly and gradually gets better and better....

I am starting a new relationship myself and this song speaks to it.

    Oh, reckless abandon
    Like no one's watching you
    A moment, a love....

    So stay there
    Because I'll be coming over
And while our blood's still young
    It's so young
    It runs...

I crave spending time with him, it's all so new and young and fresh. Love this song.

General Comment:This song reconnected me with someone who I'd least
Expect to ever see again everytime I hear it I am so
Gladly reminded of him could have been the biggest
Mistake ever but roughly enough I got through it our
Re kindled flame blew out but the memories we had were
Great so I know everytime he hears this one he is reminded
Of me as well amazing song with & a band with alot of potential

General Comment:This is one song I never get sick of listening to. I feel it's about a love and enjoying it now, instead of thinking too far into things to the point that it just ruins a good thing.
Also, when watching the UK video, it looks like he's saying "a laugh" rather than "aloud." But it could be either.

General Comment:I think this song might be about bipolar, even if it was unintentional I think anyone going through it could relate to these lyrics..

A disposition can mean someone's temperament so "sweet disposition" would be when this person was in a good/rational mood and I think this song is talking about this guy who is in love with a girl who suffers from bipolar (so she has crazy mood swings, especially if type 3 where they can come and go quite quickly) and he wants to hold onto her whilst she is the "sweet disposition" even though he knows too well it won't last.
"A moment [she is a]love, a dream aloud,a kiss [then] a cry" - an abrupt shift in mood.
"So stay there because I'll be coming over" - stay in this "normal"/rational state.
"It runs" - the course of her mood "And we won't stop until it's over Won't stop to surrender" we won't stop being in this moment, won't blink, won't look away until this mood ends and she becomes manic or depressed again...

Just my interpretation on the lyrics

Song Meaning:Disposition is a habit..something or someone you always go back to(in this case I believe someone)..reckless abandon is just the opposite, getting away from that habit or set of friends..so you can be someone else(like no one's watching you that knows you)..so if you have something or someone you love and is your sweet disposition and then you can abandon them(get away from them(a set of friends or your place in the life of those people)..so when he says 'just stay there' he's away from them all or her or his habit(whatever he loves) and wants her/him/it to stay there because he'll be going back to it.It's about being young as well and enjoying these moments of life that he's having with people. Songs of desperation..what a great theme..aren't we all desperate in your youth...not having this and that..one day we'll be older and have the spouse/career..all that security..but we'll have lost our youth..so while our blood is young we should enjoy what we do have which is each other's love/friendship/etc..very inspirational
