Another stop sign,
Another headlight,
Another broken soul.

Learning the labels,
Lessons and fables I forgot.

Under the surface,
Lost in the verses,
There is a rising tide.
We're trying to rescue the meaning,
If only for tonight.

In between the lines and the boulevards,
Underneath the sky, chasing who we are,
Wanting more before it slips away.
Screaming to the stars just to feel their light,
Maybe one more chance and we'll get it right.
I won't believe that all these days,
And all these dreams were only meant to fade,
Meant to fade.

'Cause you were the sixty,
Running on empty,
Tell me what have we become.

Haunted by secrets,
Shadows and demons hide the sun.

But out of the darkness,
Don't care what they call this,
I won't let you down this time.

We're trying to rescue the meaning,
To do more than just survive.
We're dying to capture the feeling,
If only for tonight.

General Comment:this song gives a question of life.

everything will always fade away and disappear.. the reason for being life should be more than only meant to fade.

My Interpretation:The "author" or songwriter, in this avenue, is holding on to one person, and they're spending time around each other because they can't help it - they still love one another, just not in the same way necessarily. The love is more backed up by a sense of respect and care for the person, not 'I-can't-live-without-you-love'. And although their likliness towards each other is very fragile and ever-changing, they still want to be "together" if only for a little while... perhaps to ease the pain of not seeing each other at all.
So as if to ease the pain?
