Now and then I remember when,
Us Adults were little Kids,
And our only worry was,
What we get from Santa Claus,

When Santa Claus was God,
When Santa Claus was God,
When Santa was... Santa Claus was...
When Santa Claus was God

Now we're grown and so complex,
In a world that can't relax,
Even though he was a lie,
We all were satisfied,

When Santa Claus was God,
When Santa Claus was God,
When Santa was... When Santa Claus was...
When Santa Claus was God

How I learned from right and wrong,
Had to be good for Santa Claus,
He made me, stop misbehaving,

And once a year if I did my job,
I'd be given my favorite toys,
So simple, the principles,

When Santa was... When Santa Claus was...
Santa Claus was God

Sleep tight oh little ones (x 4)

General Comment:It's about how much simpler and easier it was as a kid when they only had to worry about Santa Claus.

General Comment:Too bad there is no comment yet but perhaps it's only right that a Dutchman like me makes the first step. After all it was the Dutch that introduced the story of Santa Claus in the United states when they colonized New Amsterdam (Now New York).

Funny song with alot of anger and protest in it. I think now the guys will feel different. I'm sure Ed is not depriving his daughter from Christmas every December.

I like the jingle bell guitar at the end :)
