I've got to breathe
You can't take that from me
Cause it's all that you left that's mine
You had to leave
And that's all I can see
But you told me your love was blind

There are times
You're so impossible that I should sign a waiver
And you will find
Someone worth walking on when you ask me to go

[Chorus]
I'll leave when the wind blows
Take a breath and there it goes
I'll be outside of your window
I'll pass by but I'll go slow
I'll leave when the wind blows

There was a day
You threw our love away
Then you passed it to someone new
You wanna stay
But since you wanna play
We can finally say we're through

There are times you're so impossible and you ask me to go

[Chorus]

You can scream there's just echoes
Pass outside of your window
You'll be sad that you let me go
I'll leave but just know

As I lay in solitude
Oh what's a boy supposed to do
I shake the very thought of you
Me together, I remember
Late nights when I stayed up late
All I do is wait and wait
Your never coming home to me
That's the hardest thing to see

I got to breathe
You can't take that from me
We can finally say we're through

[Chorus]

You can scream there's just echoes
Pass outside of your window
You'll be sad that you let me go
On every face you'll ever know
And everywhere you ever go
You'll feel when the wind blows

My Interpretation:"i'll pass by but i'll go slow i'll leave when the wind blows" sounds to me like he's slowly giving up on her and she probably won't even realize it until he's gone. Rather bias as that's what i'm currently going through.

General Comment:To me, this song is about a guy who finally realizes that he needs to move on from the girl he was with. She treated him badly, and "all he'd do is wait and wait". But this song is basically him coming to terms with the fact that they are over and she will never truly be his again. It is a song about the end of a relationship and accepting that it's over. The wind blowing is basically signifying that now they are nothing more than a gust of wind, or a passing memory in each other's lives and that is all they will ever be now. He is saying that she can try all she wants to get him back ("you can scream"), but it won't work because now she is nothing more than something in his past ("there's just echoes").

(That's the hardest thing to see)"

That's actually the hardest part to me because I remember being a little girl and waiting for my father by sitting in the front sitting chair. I had never met him and I was foolish to think that he would walk through that door.

)': Oh, well, that was a while ago.

General Comment:When the wind blows is the the time where she gets tired of him, and moves on to someone else. When she no longer wants him, and he has no other choice to leave. Her moving on, is the wind blowing. So, he'll leave when she moves on.

I think at the end when he says

"You'll feel when the wind blows" I think that line is saying, when the person she's with now, gets tired of her. she'll know how it feels, to be in the position he was in. or she'll notice what they had before throwing it away for some other guy, who wasnt that great, to begin with. she'll feel when the wind blows.

thats just my view on it.

My Opinion: I feel this song speaks either way in a relationship that is falling apart. One of the two needed some space and pushed each other away but one loves the other and regrets what happened. Wish it would all turn around. One of the two did'nt open up about something and ripped things apart. The one that moved on and passed love to someone else will be sorry in the long run what they did. I will pass by, but i will go slow means they will still have good thoughts in their heart about the passed that all the sudden left when the wind blew.

I really like this song, I keep listening to it!
    I always think the

"I'll leave when the wind blows
    Take a breath
    There your air goes
I'll be outside of your window
I'll pass by, but I'll go slow"

i think it's almost like him saying goodbye,
the fact that he is going slow as he passes by,
like he's taking the moment in knowing it will
probably be his last going by her window.
kind of thing, but i'm not sure!

but obviously i think it's about an ending love,
and having to leave. a lost love

General Comment:So, it's been about two weeks now since me and the boy I'm in love with broke up. He and I dated for a good 6 months, but were also together off and on unofficially for almost a year now.

This song reminds me of my situation at hand.

Basically, our relationship has a bittersweet ending. We both tried really hard for it to work, but sometimes things just fall apart and it seems impossible to fix it.

The tables are reversed when you compare our relationship to the one in this song- I'm the one who is singing this song to him.

Even though he has hurt me many different times and already has moved on with another girl, I know deep in my heart I will always love him, even though it hurts to the core. I have tried getting him back, but his love for me is blind.

I know that one day he's gonna remember the love we shared, and come running back to me, but I just might be gone by then... just like the wind.

General Comment:to me, this song is about bittersweet endings. it's about a relationship that is coming to an end, and both parties know it. the singer will always love the girl, even though she loves another person. he loves her so much, he is willing to leave her alone if she asks. he feels betrayed and frustrated with her, but he still can't stop loving her for some reason. he knows that, one day, she will regret leaving him. as she leaves, he is remembers parts of their relationship, both good and bad.

this song could have been written about my ex-girlfriend and myself. there was a time when i thought i was in love with someone else, and when it turned out i wasn't, she was there waiting. now the roles are reversed. she's in love with someone else, and i'm left waiting... i know one day she'll regret leaving me, but i don't think i'll be there.
