Do you remember when we didn't care
We were just two kids that took the moment when it was there
Do you remember you at all
Another heart calls

Yeah I remember when we stole the night
We'd lie awake but dreaming 'til the sun would wash the sky

Just as soon as I see you
But didn't I, but didn't I tell you
As deep as I need you,
You wanna leave it all

What can I do?
Say it's true
Or everything that matters breaks in two
Say it's true
I'll never ask for anyone but you

Talk to me
I'm throwing myself in front of you
This could be the last mistake
That I would ever wanna do
Yeah all I ever do is give it's time you see my point of view

Just as soon as I see you
But didn't I, but didn't I tell you
As deep as I need you,
You wanna leave it all

What can I do?
Say it's true
Or everything that matters breaks in two
Say it's true
I'll never ask for anyone but you
But I know what you want is to figure it out
And God knows I do too
What can I do?
Say it's true
I'll never ask for anyone but you

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Na, na, na, na, na, na

I'm sorry
So what?
But you don't think I've said enough
I'm sorry
I don't care
You were never there

As soon as I see you
But didn't I, but didn't I tell you
As deep as I need you
You wanna leave it all

What can I do?
Say it's true
Or everything that matters breaks in two
Say it's true
I'll never ask for anyone but you
But I know what you want is to figure it out
And God knows I do too
What can I do?
Say it's true
I'll never ask for anyone but you
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

I'll never ask for anyone but you
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
I'll never ask for anyone but you
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
I'll never ask for anyone but you
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
I'll never ask for anyone but you
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

My Interpretation:There's a young couple, prbably eachother's first love, that is in a deep and intimate relationship. They've been with eachother for awhile and have grown to really rely on eachther and love one another. As they are getting older, the romantic feelings are starting to fade and it is more just attachment. The guy wants to go out into the world and figure out his life, and breaks up with her. "as much as I need you, you want to leave it all" .. The girl tries stopping him since she loves him and really needs him, and the guy is overcome with pressure. He cares about her, but he needs to do this to figure out what it is he wants in life, and that means growing into his own person : "what can I do? say it"s true, or everything that matters breaks in two".. "I'll never ask for anyone but you" is the most repeated line during the song, and I think by this he means when he is off by himself out in the world figuring out what it is he wants, when he''s praying at night she's going to be the only one on his heart, the only one he is going to be yearning for

General Comment:FOr me chorus means that they love so strong so that everithing was matter is always be not important(like when people from little things make a big problems, like argue in what place seat in car, thetare, or argue about what food to cook) only is matters is their love. I'll never ask for anyone but you" means that only person they need is each other, with other person its not going to be the same.

    "What can I do?
    Say it's true
Oh everything that matters breaks in two
    Say it's true
I'll never ask for anyone but you"

My Interpretation:First time I heard this song, it was part of a Doctor Who/Rose Tyler vid on Youtube. Considering those final scenes at Bad Wolf Bay, when Rose first got left and then with the Meta-Crisis Doctor, this song makes pretty much perfect sense. If your familiar with the paring, even if you don't necessarily support it, check it out. Something just clicks.

Considering my own relationship with a boy, where there was so much that we just thought the other person already or otherwise should know without having to say anything and how we'd get mad at each other because certain things were never said and we individually felt they should have been, and knowing where my heart is even now...Yeah. I think I get it. Amazing song.

General Comment:Am I the only one who thinks its about a guy who started dating this girl pretty young and kept telling her that she's all he wants and loves her forever, but as he gets older and grows he realizes 'another heart calls' and that he has to go back on everything he's said and leave her?

"Do you remember when we didn't care?
We were just two kids that took
the moment when it was there
Do you remember you at all
    Another heart calls"

She's saying remember the good times we've had, and he's saying they were just young, but now someone else is right for him. (the girl is also saying that he's changed since then).

"Just as soon as I see you
I did lie but didn't I tell you?
As deep as I need you,
    You wanna leave it all"

He's saying that he's been lying to her about his feelings for awhile now, but in a way he feels like he told her in how he's been acting. And the girls saying she still loves him and doesn't understand how he can just leave her.

    "What can I do?
    Say it's true
Oh everything that matters breaks in two
    Say it's true
I'll never ask for anyone but you"

He's saying that he's sorry, but he doesn't know what else he can do but leave her. What can he do to make the situation better? And her response is tell me that you still love me.

    "Talk to me
I'm throwing myself in front of you
This could be the last mistake
That I would ever wanna do
Yeah all I ever do is give
it's time you see my point of view"

She's saying, no, you can't leave me, we can make it work, we can talk it out. And he's saying he never ever wanted to hurt her, but he has to. Then they both are saying why can't you see my side.

"But I know all that you want is to figure it out
And God knows I do too
    What can I do?
    Say it's true
I'll never ask for anyone but you"

He wants to explain it in a way she can understand, how can he do it? This time he sings the "I'll never ask for anyone but you", but its more of an echo of his past promise, and she's asking him to say it again.

    "I'm sorry
    So what?
But you don't think I've said enough
    I'm sorry
    I don't care
    You were never there"

He's sorry, he really is and he really wants to say the right words. Finally she just turns it all on him, saying it was his fault, making him feel guilty.

Then the last few lines is either A) the girl just rethinking over and over again in her head what he had promised her, that she was the only one forever. She can't let go of it even though he's gone now. or B) even though she isn't right for him and someone else is calling, he feels so bad that he just gives in. Destined to be sad forever because he's just there to make her happy.

General Comment:I'm pretty sure the line is:
"I know all you want is to figure it out and God knows I do too"

My Interpretation:I see it like this..

There are two friends who are really good friends with one another. However, for a while, both of them have known they've liked the other for a while. The boy was more hesitant about admitting because he didn't want to ruin their friendship. Over time, the girl feels like the boy isn't there as much as before and gets upset while the boy stays confused. But the boy does realize how he really feels and tries to fix things with the girl.

I like it because i feel this way, and can relate to it.

My Interpretation:I think the girl is threatening to leave-she is the one with another heart calling. For some reason I can just picture these two people meeting up together on a dark night, sitting on a park bench and not even looking at each other as they talk in the beginning. It's like the final discussion-this is a make or break talk here.

In the first verse she is trying to remind him of what they used to be: care-free kids madly in love; and he admits to remembering what it was like. Despite this she knows they have grown apart, and she is threatening to move on and leave him for some else.

The "as soon as I see you" verse, is him trying to tell her that indeed he still loves her deeply, he just hasn't told her so or shown it lately. He didn't lie when he said he loved her-and he thinks that he has done enough, but clearly she doesn't think the same. So now she is saying as much of herself as she is giving him, he still doesn't give the same back, and because of this he put himself at risk of losing her.

Then in the chorus, he asks what he can do to right the wrong, and she is asking him to "say it's true." In other words, she is asking him to say yes, i do love you, and i will never ask for anyone but you. If he does not do this, "everything that matters breaks in two." It's all worthless if he doesn't tell her how he feels about her.

The next verse is her basically saying how she feels-that she has been giving everything and he has not been returning the favor. He tells her that this is the last thing he wanted to do to her, and he wants it to be the last mistake he will ever make.

Then the addition to the second chorus-"and i know you want us to figure it out/and god knows i do too"-is an admittance that she is willing to work this out with him, because she still loves him, but if he doesn't to his part she will find someone else who will.

Then the "i'm sorry/so what?" part is them arguing, him trying to apologize and her not taking it. He apologizes for not expressing his love for her. At this point though, she doesn't want an apology, she just wants a change.

Then the meaning of the last verse is essentially the same as the previous choruses. The repetition of "i'll never ask for anyone but you" i think indicated that they work it out. That's just what I got from it...but i don't know for sure of course.

General Comment:Most played song on my iTunes. 340 times haha.
If you just pay attention to who says what, it's all clear.
To me, this song is about a "couple" who have been together since high school probably.
The beginning of their relationship was perfect, which is what they're reminiscing about.

But now, present-day, they've run into a problem and probably are about to break up or have broken up because the guy has probably fallen for another girl. She's the "other heart." The rest of the song is them arguing back in forth about if he really loves her or not. And she doesn't know if she should believe him.

General Comment:this song is basically about two ex lovers met again. They were both in love when they were little -hence she's asking if he remembers when they were young- and then he tries to explain why he left. Unfortunately the girl doesnt care anymore, because she was disappointed when he left her.
