Sometimes I wanna quit this song and become an accountant now
But I'm no good at math and besides the dollar is down
Plant palm trees on Lake Michigan before it gets cold
I gotta feel the wind chill again before I get old

I wanna scream I love you from the top of my lungs
But I'm afraid that someone else will hear me
You can only blame your problems on my world for so long
Before it all becomes the same old song
As soon as we hit the hospital, I know we're gonna leave this town
And get new passports and get get get get get out now

All the yes men said no comment
My mouth got going wrong way and all the calls started to roll in
Like the time my dad caught me a horseshoe crab
And I asked him if throwing it back into the sea would bring our luck back

I wanna scream I love you from the top of my lungs
But I'm afraid that someone else will hear me
You can only blame your problems on my world for so long
Before it all becomes the same old song
As soon as we hit the hospital, I know we're gonna leave this town
And get new passports get out now

Tell that boy I leave you alone
Like a storm, I 'll turn my love
Suprah and the profit are both in the business of souls

I wanna scream I love you from the top of my lungs
But I'm afraid that someone else will hear me
Whoa I wanna scream I love you from the top of my lungs
But I'm afraid that someone else will hear me
You can only blame your problems on my world for so long
Before it all becomes the same old song
As soon as we hit the hospital, I know we're gonna leave this town
(I know we're gonna leave this town)
And get new passports and get, get, get, get, get out
Get, get, get, get, get out now

My Interpretation:In light of the recent passing of Amy Winehouse, I think this song might be about people like her, if not actually her.
Troubled characters in the media, sort of grasping for intimacy and safety. Pete Wentz said that 'Folie a Deux' could apply to Amy and Blake as much as anyone else in how they affected each other and there are parts of this song that I think make sense in relation to that.
"The Yes Men said 'no comment', my mouth got going the wrong way . . ." is how people like Amy are surrounded with publicity people who try to protect their image and keep everyone buying their products/whatever, but the messed-up person themselves usually says something to the press that shows the reality of it all.
Talking about 'hitting the hospital/leaving this town' and 'I'll turn my love down' also relates, possibly. Amy and Blake were notorious for pictures were after spending time together they were all cut and bloodied - all of this due to their intense mania around each other. This crazy obsessive reliance where one minute they'd be in this terribly dark place, then the next minute jetting around the world. I think that carries over in the final song of the album with ". . . and we'll never get through customs, let's just take off again instead".

Obviously it's not just Amy/Blake, but I think Pete might be using their example among others as a showcase of how THAT is what is considered the modern equivalent of love or romance.

    Lyric Correction:I'm pretty sure it's:

"tell that boy I'll leave you alone
like a stove I'll turn my love down
Supra and the Prophet are both in the business of souls/soles"

"I wanna scream "I Love You" from the top of my lungs
but I'm afraid that someone else will hear me"

"Tell that boy I'll leave you alone
Like a stone, I'll turn my love round"

    General Comment:The Chorus really is:

You can only burden your problems on my world for so long,
before it all becomes the same old song.

Then the rest of the chorus is right

General Comment:This song is not about Pete & Ashlee & Bronx. Pete never writes the lyrics from his perspectives, he always says that.
I've been a fan of Fall Out Boy since 'Split' and still am to this day.

I personally think the song is about the band's fame now and how they miss Chicago which explains this verse:
"Sometimes i want to quit this all
    and become an accountant now
but I'm no good at math
and besides the dollar is down
plant more trees on Lake Michigan before it gets cold
I gotta feel the wind chill again before I get old
I wanna scream "I Love You" from the top of my lungs
but I'm afraid that someone else will hear me."

This chorus is explaining how they can only sing about all the heartaches and pessimistic attitudes, before it gets tiring and becomes the same thing over and over again:

"You can only blame your problems on the world for so long
before it all becomes the same old song
as soon as we hit the hospital I know we're going to leave this town
and get new passports and get, get, get, get, get out now"

i've yet to figure this part out, maybe its about how the songs they always wrote made it seem like it was for a girl about their love for her and its all over now? i know that was lame.

tell that boy i'll leave alone now
like a stove i'll turn my love down
supra and the prophet are both in the business of souls

I know im probably way off, but like i said Perte NEVER writes songs about himself or his expierences for the band.

General Comment:I think this is about the kind of music the band is known for and is expected to write. You know, the stuff about girls/breakups/misery.

"I wanna scream "I Love You" from the top of my lungs
but I'm afraid that someone else will hear me"

If he's honest about the way he feels, if he writes a song about being in love he's afraid that he won't be successful. But he knows that the songs that are all he used to write become meaningless after awhile. It's all been done and will continue to be done. It isn't who he is anymore, but it's what we want:

"You can only blame your problems on the world for so long
before it all becomes the same old song"

General Comment:Tell that boy I'll leave you alone
Like a stove, I'll turn my love down
Supra and the prophet are both in the business of soul
(I just wanna be somewhere in between)

Those are the correct lyrics for the bridge.

Memory:Okay people, it is NOT "like a STONE". That doesn't make any sense with "turn my love down" It's like a STOVE. You know, he's passionate, but he has to turn down the passion. To recap: "Like a stove, I'll tun my love down"
