I want to be rich and I want lots of money
I don't care about clever I don't care about funny
I want loads of clothes and fuckloads of diamonds
I heard people die while they are trying to find them

I'll take my clothes off and it will be shameless
Cause everyone knows that's how you get famous
I'll look at the sun and I'll look in the mirror
I'm on the right track yeah I'm on to a winner

[Chorus]
I don't know what's right and what's real anymore
I don't know how I'm meant to feel anymore
When do you think it will all become clear
And I'll be taken over by the fear

Life's about film stars and less about mothers
It's all about fast cars and cussing each other
But it doesn't matter cause I'm packing plastic
And that's what makes my life so fuckin' fantastic

And I am a weapon of massive consumption
And its not my fault it's how I'm programmed to function
I'll look at the sun and I'll look in the mirror
I'm on the right track yeah I'm on to a winner

[Chorus]

Forget about guns and forget ammunition
Cause I'm killing them all on my own little mission
Now I'm not a saint but I'm not a sinner
Now everything is cool as long as I'm getting thinner

[Chorus]

My Interpretation:I think this song is about views and how they can be motivated by peer pressure, everyone is acting out of fear....

General Comment:Coming from Lily Allen, it sounds rather hypocritical. She's the type ME ME ME ME ME ME ME!!!!

General Comment:this is a well written song - and it gets its anti-consumerist message straight to teens - im kinda hoping thats lilys "own little mission"

    anyhoo about the line

"I'll look at the sun and I'll look in the mirror"

the first time round its obv about looking at the tabloids (The Sun and The Mirror) for self affirmation

    but the second time round
its about that crystaline form of consumption - COCAINE

"I'll look at the sun and I'll look in the mirror"
    can be translated as:

she knows how shes living aint quite right (from the lead up to the line)
    but then again...

when your messing with your mates + the early hours has broken into dawn (she sees the Sun stream through the window)
and youre having fun getting your head down for another line of coke (off the mirror)

and you see yourself and think - waaahooo im living the dream baybee!!!!!!

"I'm on the right track, yeah we're on to a winner"

General Comment:The way I see it, this is a clever little double-meaning song. I see the Hollywood satire you all see, in yet I also see a very well worded song about an eating disorder.

"I'll look at the sun and I'll look in the mirror
I'm on the right track, yeah I'm on to a winner"
May be about reading tabloids, but could also be about looking into a literal mirror and seeing progress.

    "I don't know what's right and what's real anymore
And I don't know how I'm meant to feel anymore
When do you think it will all become clear?" -It messes with your head and you don't see the true you. She actually admitted to body dysmorphic disorder in an interview, which this describes perfectly.

'Cause I'm being taken over by The Fear" - The Fear could be the fear of being overweight.

"And I am a weapon of massive consumption
And it's not my fault, it's how I'm programmed to function" -Talking about how she's programmed to eat.

"Forget about guns and forget ammunition
'Cause I'm killing 'em all on my own little mission" - Forget about food and cravings, because I'm ridding myself of it all by myself!

"Now I'm not a saint, but I'm not a sinner
Now everything's cool as long as I'm getting thinner" - Does this need explaining?

But that is just another interpretation, the one about Hollywood is perfectly valid as well.

General Comment:this is my favorite lily allen song. shes quite the ruthless dame. and the fact that shes so open about everything is wonderful.

Life's about film stars and less about mothers
It's all about fast cars and cussing each other
But it doesn't matter 'cause I'm packing plastic
And that's what makes my life so fucking fantastic
And I am a weapon of massive consumption
And it's not my fault, it's how I'm programmed to function

no one cares about ordinary people anymore. the world is dying and we're trying to make the most of ourselve and not of it. its about being beautiful and dirty and dangerous and famous so when the world dies, youre not the only one who knows you existed.

General Comment:I think this song is self explanatory. Best lines: "Now I'm not a saint, but I'm not a sinner, Now everything's cool as long as I'm getting thinner". & "When do you think it will all become clear? 'Cause I'm being taken over by The Fear".

Song Meaning:Lily Allen said in a Dutch interview thst this song was about how sterile the world had become and how 'people are talking but they're not really saying anything' but she also fits into tgat circle and that's were the irony is :)
