So I weep
So I weep
So I weep
So I weep

In my weakest moments I weep
'Cause I like the way, tears fit my cheek
In my darkest moments I cry
Oh how I love the way, tears suits my face

I like it salt
I like it wet
Like my makeup in a mess
So I cry hard
Let it fall
And I won't stop until my tears are all shed

So I weep
So I weep
So I weep
So I weep

In my joyous moments I moan
'Cause it feels so good when I let my water flow
Drip drop, and I cannot stop
Can't stop, no I said no
Drip drop, and I cannot stop
Can't stop
I cry for you, cry for you
I cry because I cannot help it
So it runs, yes it falls
And ain't no stopping at all

I like it salt
I like it wet
Like my makeup in a mess
So I cry hard
Let it fall
And I won't stop until my tears are all shed

So I weep
So I weep
So I weep
So I weep

Let it fall

    General Comment:she says
    "i like it soft
    i like it wet
got my make up in a mess..."

"oh how i love the way tears soothe my face..."

General Comment:I don't know if she's a brilliant lyricist or just didn't conjugate her verb correctly, but this is amazing...

In my weakest moments I weep,
'Cause I like the way tears fit my cheek,
In my darkest moments I cry,
Oh how I love the way tears suits my face.

The 4th line there is definitely "tears SUITS my face", which is what gets me. With that conjugation, she makes "tears" from a plural (as it is in the second line) to a singular state as if to say "oh how I love the way [being in] tears suits my face".

I'm pretty sure she did that intentionally, too. It would be oddly tautologous to use both the 2nd and 4th lines there unless this exact subtlety is what she was going for.

General Comment:am i the only one who thinks this song has nothing to do with crying? "i like it salt, i like it wet"? "In my joyous moments I moan, 'Cause it feels so good when I let my water flow. Drip drop, and I cannot stop" Common guys! ElectraInstead is right. its pretty blatant innuendo. to say the absolute frigging least.

General Comment:She's not saying "drip drop" I'm pretty sure she's saying "teardrop".

Anyway I love this song. Ironically, it always makes me happy.

General Comment:Um, maybe it's just me, but I think this song is one big innuendo.

"In my joyous moments I moan, 'cause it feels so good when I let my water flow"
"I like it salt, I like it wet, like my makeup in a mess"

And as people have already mentioned, she certainly doesn't SOUND sad, and "so I weep" sounds so much like "so happy."

General Comment:I agree , she makes it sound like "so happy" . Before I looked up the lyrics , I had been singing that so I don't really know what she meant to do . I think it's about a light break up , not one that really hurt her .

General Comment:I wonder if it's on purpose that she sings "so I weep" like "so happy." Maybe it's just my hearing. This is a very upbeat song, though, and I agree with zito.

General Comment:It's so beautiful how she can write a song about loving crying (over someone or just because) and not sounding 'emo' or depressive at all.
